  1. Actually, Scott is the one that asked if you were pole dancing. Then somehow "boots" was brought into the text messages. Scott's claiming new personal best so I wasn't fishing. All I could brag about was another cup of coffee. That's the best I had at the time. (sad I know)
  2. Imagine this finger being the other one... And yes, we are freaks.
  3. RELEASE THE HOUNDS!!!! LOL!
  4. Probably basing on history and if they got Bailey to squeal on where he's catching all his stripers. (Beaver Lake Safari Guide)
  5. Nice! Glad you finally got on the eyes.
  6. She is a sweet little boat. (The Cane Cutter) Last of her kind. Won't find many of that manufacture and if you do, they won't be that nice.
  7. Yep. We had to part ways. Still sad about that. My wife referred to her as my girlfriend. So she bought me a new one. Lol!! The new owner is a great guy. I meant to tell him about the forum. I bet you caught him off guard. It's funny, now all the lurkers will be following him around instead of me. :-p I'll let ya know when the new one comes in. Should be in by next week. I hope to be back on the water by end of month.
  8. Wish I could get out. Thanks for sharing!
  9. I wasn't even on the water today but sure.........I'll be the fall guy. If that helps you feel better when loading the boat with only a few fish. Lol!! j/k. :-)
  10. You can lead a boat to the water but you can't load it up. :-p
  11. Like the new net? Way better than the old one. :-)
  12. Looks like a good time and a great trip for just you. Cool report!
  13. One of two trips I took on the White involved a 20ft Ranger with a 225 Merc blazing up river all the way passed the big tressle bridge that's over 62. I launched in a big flat bottom boat and was in water as shallow as 5-6ft and feeling a bit nervous (high water that trip). This moron passed my son and I about 50mph. Two kids in Dads boat probably. I haven't been back since. Now that I have the new alum boat, I may give it another try. I'm clueless on the river though.
  14. No, not cocky. Just had to point out that I caught more crappie than you in the same spot. It's not going to happen very often at all if ever again. So.................I need to enjoy the moment however brief it is.
  15. I would post the water temps but I honestly do not remember. I believe 72? Water temp dropped a little from earlier this weekend. It was about 75 Saturday. Feathers&Fins and I had to get another quick trip in before the end of the weekend. Knowing the traffic would be bad, we wanted to get out for only a few hours before the "bedlam" started and before the afternoon storms. We started around 6:30 trolling the favorite bait of choice (Flickers) and the only participant was little Willy Walleye. There must be several of these little guys in the Rock Branch area. They will hit on almost every pass. We tried to repeat some of Saturday's success using the Bobby Garland jigs but no biters. No wind. The old saying on Beaver Lake is "wind is your friend" and that certainly held up today. Later in the day, the wind picked up and we were able to get some crappie on the Bobby G's. I was using my 12' crappie rod and it was a hoot! I also caught 4 crappie to F&F's one. THAT WAS A GOOD FEELING. Especially when it's usually the other way around. So this one time............I have to wallow in my little tiny victory. :-) So the results were: - wind was the key, nothing big, just a light breeze - fish were feeding around 15ft deep with a slow slow retrieve Here is a sample of the crappie. This is a nice healthy 15.25" crappie. The image below is a 10" keeper and the 15" is below. This was a very nice keeper size fish. I thought I was hung on a brush pile but eventually, the fish pulled back and the fight was on. I ended the day with a fish fry. Can't be that! :-)
  16. Man I wish Joe hadn't called me that. Now it's going to stick forever....
  17. That's no doubt. F&F and I saw him put a whoopin' on some fish. Looked like a little mini attack vessel just cruising by and stopping every so often to reel in fish. Just impressive. Especially when F&F is yelling "62!!" as he tallied up his catch amount on the hookset while I struggled from the back of the boat. Dang jigging spoon.....
  18. Very true. Just a sneak peak. Lol!!!!
  19. That's awesome. Kudos to you!
  20. Any guy that trolls from a kayak deserves respect. And that's a great report with some awesome catches!!
  21. Moon?? What moon?? :-p
  22. See my signature below. (573) 569-5406
  23. That's a little north of where I'll be. :-) But if we head up towards St. Pete, I'll look into that one! I just ate lunch, let's not talk about blackened grouper sandwhiches or I'll be headed to the airport to catch a flight!
  24. I've been to IGFA. Really cool place.
