  1. Been there brother... Lonesome Bullfrog signing out.
  2. Leave me alone motorhead... and what are you telling me? That it's OK to gig from a jet ski?
  3. Had another thought about the impact motorized craft might have on the springs down there. I'm guessing the larger springs such as Big Spring and Alley wouldn't be impacted to the extent the smaller ones would... meaning any spring that trickles down a hillside with minimal cfs, or a spring that emits close to the river, and especially a spring that usually emits from the river bottom itself (such as Boiling Spring on the Big Piney). Any thoughts guys?
  4. Can't stand politicans. Nor can I stand jackasses in jetboats, motorized craft, or whatever practically doing circles around me on the Current or Jacks Fork (and it's happened). The thought of ever seeing jet skis down there would be the final straw. They go into areas up here on Smithville Lake that they're not supposed to be in and I've never witnessed the water patrol inforcing them to stay out. I wish they'd actually keep the motorized stuff from Van Buren down which would mean NO motors on the JF. Can't you go gigging using a 10 hp motor? Good job Tanvat!
  5. I like the idea of Bowe being a TE Ham. Would probably have to work with him on blocking bigger guys in the running game. He's a good blocking WR against the smaller DB's he faces.
  6. Hey I know that crazy little red-head... he caught his first flyrod smallie floating with me. He old enough yet to hit that YJ? Looks like you guys had a sweet ride Ronnie.
  7. a few of my wishes for each of you... continued love for and from family and friends continued peace we receive by relishing our outdoor endeavours and lastly... for any of us who canoe to be belly-side up and overcome humility (good luck with that when your buddies ride your a$$)
  8. Ever seen a KCRIVERRAT down yer way? It's been known to swim, crawl, or slither in your home waters bud.
  9. On the horny note... what's the use of a Hornyhead Chub's wart-like things on it's noggin'?
  10. Yep... cabin fever has set in and the official beginning of winter isn't even here yet. I can't wait to move to a warm weather location and continue some salt water fishing. Ain't a fresh-water fish worth eating other than walleye.
  11. Looks kinda like Dennis Weaver... Good for you bud... congrats!
  12. Mark, FYI... there's a great website called the COLORADO DIRECTORY that is user friendly and has loads of info on everything Colorado (including fishing & hunting). I've stayed at Three Rivers Campground in Almont a couple of times and, like most of the campgrounds on up through the canyon, own stretches of fishable water. I'd give some of the places a call and see what they've got. Oh... and don't forget your wading staff.
  13. There's some great Brookie fishing in the creeks that feed Taylor Reservoir also...
  14. Whoops! Sorry F&F... looks like I might have to retract that statement. Also, Mizzou might end up in the Cotton Bowl against Okie St.
  15. At least somebody from Mizzou played defense yesterday...
  16. No way Oklahoma goes to a BCS game...
  17. Heck guys, we couldn't have stopped the LAMAR Tigers from dropping that many rushing yards on us yesterday with the defense we played. Look... maybe it WOULDN'T have made a difference if we'd stacked the line showing 7 or 8 guys up front but we'll never know because THEY NEVER TRIED IT! When you're getting shredded by the run game the LAST thing you do is go to a 3-4 defense from a 4-3. Just because you're "showing" a stacked line doesn't mean you rush everybody. Blitz different linebackers while dropping the others, have the corners play press coverage, bring a corner blitz, bring a safety blitz etc., etc. Jeez, Auburn attempted just eleven passes the whole game. We never gave it a shot to attempt them to resort to their weakness, the passing game. Mizzou never forced them to adjust their offense. Going to a 3-4 to stop the run was plain-butt dumb on Pinkel and Steckel's part BUT... in-game, or even half-time adjustments are simply not this coaching staff's strength (i.e. "see South Carolina game"). Oh... and I'll state the obvious... players have to MAKE PLAYS TOO! Still a good season. Looks kinda like we're heading to the Capital One Bowl against Wisconsin on New Years Day. Guess what THEY do well on offense?

  19. You're probably 11/12ths right Blazer...
  20. I'll be watching Mizzou BB tonight and Saturday OTF. Usually I'm a heck more focused on BB season by now but I HAVE been payin' more attention lately. Seen parts of two games. But man... SEC Championship game? I'm stoked.... Gonna be a fun weekend not excluding tonight when we beat Huggie Bear (YUK!)
  21. Curry Bridge on Prier road Tim? I usually fish from Muncy up...
  22. Whoops! Guess I meant Northwestern. I'm outta the loop with BB so far. Nice to have Haith back.
  23. Guess I need to check and see if we beat Nevada. Still tough for me to get hyped up for early season Mizzou BB. I'm still fired up for the A&M game and (with apprehension) the Chiefs.
  24. Eat, bloat, and be merry... Happy Thanksgiving all you OAF turkeys!. Enjoy the day with your loved ones.
  25. Shouldn't be boring. I suspect they'd assign an agent or two that's well versed in the various shroom species. (Yee-Haw... lets go cliff diving in Sinking Creek!)
