Congrats buddy! One question... does your fiance like river fishing like you do? I am so lucky. My wife organizes an all-girl float every summer. She and her sisters fish their butts off and some of the other gals at the very least have learned what kind of fish live in our streams (though i've learned even more from other members on this very forum). She started doing this around 20 years ago after I started taking her float-fishing. I'm proud of her. We're not the best on the river, but we've done OK through the years. Here's to many happy years ahead... and, DON'T ARGUE OVER THE SMALL (you know what).

Used to be a place around Aldrich down around Stockton Lake called the "Master-Baiter". I remember seeing the name of the place painted on top of the roof coming down a county road from the top of a hill. Don't know who started it and I DOUBT it's still open, but it was an old place. Anyone remember the place?

Tim's Fly Shop down at Roaring River would be a great place to start. Also, how about the Gilbert General Store down on the Buffalo...

Very proud of my Chiefs today. Just wonderin' what might have been with a healthy team from the beginning with Crennel as head coach and Orton as QB. Cassel has a weak arm and Haley decided to buck his superiors, especially sticking with Palko. Lot of stuff remains to be seen as far as this season and the decisions that will lead into the next. The NFL is what it is. Head coaches are hired to be fired. And they sure as heck ain't hurtin' moneywise when it happens.

I hear ya... all those other three got for their efforts was a worthless bust in their image that got stowed away in some warehouse in a downtroddin' rust belt town. Blackledge on the other hand landed as an ESPN anal-yst, where all the great ones go! (Apologies to Steve Young and Jerry Rice for the sarcasm... )

Blue Springs to be correct. And BS South won the 6A football title. Played in SL every year. Which KC high school football owns... As far as the Royals go... our no-show Wal-Mart owner, David Glass (here's his pic... ) needs to sell the team. He'd screw up a single high school athletic department, let alone the Royals!

Not off topic bro. USC is on fire, but they too lost two games. They should be in a BCS game. Destroyed UCLA, but the Bruins got to play Oregon because of the sanctions levied against SC. And SC beat Oregon in Eugene. Wrong team is in the Rose Bowl... and it ain't the current players or coaches fault. (see... Reggie Bush).

Oh, I know Wayne... I was just kinda' making a case for Boise based on what they did to Oklahoma back in the Fiesta. But they blew it against TCU which I imagine gave the powers that be a sigh of relief. And... Okie St. blew it against Iowa St. and 'Bama blew it against LSU. Houston actually could have been in the argument too, but they blew it against Southern Miss. Like was said in a previous post... it's about money. Select teams based on putting butts in the seats, TV ratings to attract the national fan base of the big, popular schools, etc.

Paul, I'll pay upwards of a $1.39 per pic for the rights to the photo that's on your trading card. I'm CEO of a toilet paper manufactuer that specializes in photos on each sheet. Unfortunately, we only produce one-ply.

Boise State's kicker missed a 39 yard field goal as time expired against TCU. Otherwise they'd be 12-0 (again) and deserve a shot to play LSU (in my mind) but that loss was what allowed the powers that be to dismiss them once again. That game was @ TCU too. But... if they had won would they have played LSU if they were #2 in the coaches and Harris (computer) poll? The AP poll (writers) doesn't count in the formulas. I doubt it. This system sucks... computers! (jeez) Anyhow... MIZ-ZOU! Beat Carolina!

I'm off subject here Tim, but I'll be in Cozumel late Jan. for a week. Any fishing experience there for you?
