  1. If it was me with the conditions tomorrow I would be fishing some clear water...just my opinion. I am still mad at my mother for getting a computer virus that forced me off the water because they were really starting to bite when I left...caught 3 of my keepers from 10:45 to 11:15. I might try to head back down on Sunday.
  2. Well my plan got a little kink put in it but I got to fish for a little while this morning before my mother had a computer crisis that forced me to leave the lake at 11:15am. Things were a little slower this morning but I managed 9 bass with 4 good ones...all on a blade only fished 4 places before I left. I didn't try anything else so I still caught them back 3rd in really shallow water. I had 7 others swipe at it but they weren't going good just yet. I figure anyone who fished from noon on killed them.
  3. I will be around the Indian Point area again on Fri from 7am until around 2-3...white with black/red stripes Triton TR 186 DC with 3 rods on deck
  4. Didn't see much baitfish activity but is was very cloudy with pretty good wind blowing so I normally don't in those conditions. All I did was fish where the wind was blowing and didn't really target any specific cover...caught fish on pea gravel, mix rock and ledges. The back 3rd seemed more important than the type of bank BUT I stress they were REALLY biting on Tuesday. It isn't everyday I go down there and pop 50+ on a blade...usually I throw it this time of year and get 8-12 bites all day with most of them being decent ones. With that said they will bite tomorrow and I might be down there with ya :-)
  5. Sorry I should have added that...I fished the Indian Point area and everything I caught was back 3rd with the boat in 8 feet of water or less. I was burning one of my 3/4oz blades with a 4/4 combo and I honestly hammered them...had double digit keepers within the first couple of hours
  6. Fished yesterday from 7am to 3pm and it was one of those days that remind me that I am blessed to fish a lake like Table Rock. Not many places in the country can you go and catch the numbers of quality bass I did yesterday especially all 3 species in the same day. As you might expect with the wind and cloud cover they were biting and I only had one rod on deck all day rigged with a blade. I caught fish all day and couldn't tell you how many I caught or how many keepers I caught but it was a lot of both. Caught just about everything in the back 3rd of wind blown pockets, bays or creeks and the type of bank didn't really matter much...they were just biting. I took a few pics with cell phone early in the morning but they suck :-)
  7. Didn't make it to midnight as my stomach decided it wanted some Jill's BBQ around 7:30 so I decided 7 hours was enough today. Man they were biting when I first got there. I didn't post a report the other day but I got on some back of the creek fish...so I decided to follow up on that and found a good pod of them in the back of my first stop. The first 3 hours I was there I caught 13 with 7 keepers including 5 good keepers off 1 little secondary point WAY back there. After that flurry I just picked one off here in there with most of them being smallish but did catch a couple good brownies main lake as the sun was setting. For those who like to do it my last 2 trips I have caught 12 keepers off the very last secondary point in the backs of creeks...some good ones too. Caught everything today burning one of my blades and throwing a shallow crawdad crank. I don't have an orange sticker but I run a 2004 Triton TR 186 DC with the White/Black/Red color scheme...fish by myself a lot this time of year because my friends are hunters
  8. Most I have seen are brownish orange I will be heading down around 12-1 and fish until midnight or so
  9. Rod is Sold! Thank you!
  10. I caught 2 on Sunday that were real beat up with red marks all over them plus they were kind of skinny for their size...4lb heads with 3lb bodies. They looked like upper river summer fish or post spawn fish but I caught both around point 7.
  11. I didn't know there was such a thing as "too shallow" I fished Fri (Baxter), Sun (Mill Creek) and today (Aunts Creek) pretty much 7am to 2pm each day and caught them pretty good. I caught most burning a spinnerbait but also caught some on square bill, swim bait and topwater. Best pattern for me since the water came up a few weeks back has been flatter banks with bushes in the water that are close to changes or deeper water...mostly main lake stuff but I caught some in creeks on Sunday. It has been work to get them to bite as I probably saw more than I caught but I still caught 8-11 keepers each day plus some shorts. They are starting to pack up a bit and every fish I caught usually had 3-4 with him...just had to cover water and find the packs.
  12. I live in Nixa but can meet halfway somewhere within reason
  13. Will take $40...just PM or Email me Local pick up only in SW MO area
  14. I have a St. Croix Premier PS70MF 7' Medium Fast Action spinning rod for sale. I have had the rod a few years but I hardly use spinning rods so it is in pretty good shape. First $50 cash gets the rod...local pick up only in the SW Missouri area. Send PM or email me at tnmsufan@yahoo.com if you are interested.
  15. I get a lot of enjoyment painting my own baits especially those that actually catch some fish. I don't do cranks as much as I do my own spinnerbaits and jigs but I do some. I would recommend just about any name brand gravity feed airbrush because you waste a lot less paint that way plus cheap is well cheap. Just like flysmallie I lightly sand crank and then add primer...use Krylon Fusion. I use Createx paint and Devcon 2 Ton 30 minute Epoxy. Just make sure your coats of paint are light and let dry completely before adding another coat. Also, the same with the Epoxy you will want very thin coats and I put 3 layers on with 24hrs between each one and then 7-10 days or longer before they touch the water. I am far from a crank painting expert and just do some stuff for myself. I just finished this Pointer 100 getting ready for next spring

  17. Again that isn't correct...it is lake/river specific and if that specific lake or river doesn't have regulations it defaults to 0 length limit and 10 fish rule. Check your destination in a current Arkansas Fishing Guidebook for area-specific regulations. Area-specific Beaver Lake... * Largemouth and smallmouth bass must be 15 inches or longer to keep. * Spotted bass must be at least 12 inches long to keep. * Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass combined daily limit is six. Smallmouth bass daily limit is six. Ouachita... Largemouth and spotted bass combined daily limit is six. Largemouth bass and spotted bass must be at least 13 inches or longer to keep. Aitkins... Largemouth bass from 16 inches to 21 inches must be released immediately to the water. Largemouth bass daily limit is four, of which one may be over 21 inches. Again it depends on where they were fishing and the rule only applies on bodies of water that don't have any assigned regulations
  18. We don't know the answer to this but based on the number of fish there would have had to be 7 anglers fishing on most lakes/rivers in the state of Arkansas to legally keep that many bass. I highly doubt that is the case and I am interested to hear their response to the pic.
  19. All that means is that it is lake/river specific on their rules and if a certain body of water doesn't have any regulations it defaults to no length and 10 fish. It all depends on where they were caught...
  20. Most of the time I would agree (and in this case I am pretty sure these are river fish) but my buddy has a small lake that is spring fed that has largemouth, smallmouth, spots and even rainbow trout in it
  21. I didn't realize 16' was deep...maybe at Lake Springfield Nice report and pics Bill...well done!!! I love the smallmouth this time of year down there and I need to get back down soon.
  22. Sounds like a good trip and always nice to fish up where it isn't as crazy. We were actually in the same area today but I was playing with trout and fished from Blue Spring up to Dicks Creek...pretty slow without the water running but I caught enough to make me happy
  23. Swimming super fluke in white ice color on 1/2oz head (no weedguard) with 20lb flurocarbon...adding a touch of chartreuse on the side with a marker. Steady retrieve and most bites have been coming in the 6-10 range with the boat 12-20. I have caught some off pea gravel and mixed banks BUT most fish have been in timber close to points...main lake mostly but I did have some good days in creeks Wed/Fri. You have to be patient on the tough days but during the KVD I caught 15 of my 17 keepers in 2 days throwing it...just couldn't get any over 3.3lbs
  24. Not EP but I would say the weather helped some but I caught good fish in that range again Friday around the Cow Creek area and again today around Baxter...plus the previous 2 weeks now. I hammered them Friday and I even caught several fish in the backs of coves that had shad in them...had to be short main lake ones with timber but I had some good smallmouth Friday. Today was much tougher though as I only had 4 good keepers with around a dozen shorts...just fished 6am to noon though and it seems strange but the bite has been better for me in the afternoon. I just think the afternoon sun really suspends the fish in the trees better plus I get a little more flash off my swimbait...just my opinion of course
  25. My skills aren't any different than most and my point is/was you can catch good fish from 6" to 60' right now anywhere on the lake...not just one way or the other but all. That will obviously change as the water warms especially in the clear water but right now there are bass all over the water column. As long as I have fished Table Rock the first couple of weeks of June has always been one of my favorite times of year to catch cranking/spinnerbait/now swimbait fish from Baxter to the Dam on points...it isn't any different this year and it seemed to work for the winners of AIA on Sunday.
