Pavillion Parking Lot Trash
Brian K. Shaffer replied to Brian K. Shaffer's topic in Upper Lake Taneycomo
I am more of a fishing in the dark kinda guy these days... picking up trash before the next sun up.. _______________________________________ BOTH SIDES of the river need to stay trash free. Thanks for your help. -
Used leaders do not belong on the ground. Pinch on floats don't just float away when tossed. If it flies out of your car - please take the time to pick it up - or someone else has to. ___________________________________________________________________ Please pitch in - if you see some trash - help us all keep the area clean below the dam. Thanks kindly to all.

Gordon Proctor wouldn't have stood for this.

I stopped by the Missouri Department of Conservation Branson office and spoke with Shane Bush. He has assured me that help is on the way. The Branson Police Dept agreed as well. We can expect big changes - visible - and otherwise. ________________________________________________________________________________ Gordon Proctor was a past hatchery manager long ago when the bait rules changed. He lived in the hatchery managers house, and he didn't take no guff. Many thanks to all - humbly, Brian -

I have read the above response 13 times... each time harder to understand that everyone just accepts what is happening. Seeing as how I cannot do those things - why are others ? -
Chris Ray, Water Pollution Inspection & Enforcement Unit Chief at the Missouri Department of Natural Resources : “It’s very common this time of year for us to get reports from citizens, businesses, or visitors in the area,” Ray says. “It’s more common during the summer due to low water flow, lower amounts of rain, and increased sunlight. Those are the main contributors for any algae growth.” Ray also states that other sources that could fuel algae growth are divided into point sources and nonpoint sources. By point sources, that would be related to permanent facilities like wastewater treatment facilities.

The upper end is a free for all. No enforcement of any kind. Come here and do anything you want. The plans set in place - they are unravelling.
