  1. Lang's LIVE auction - 1500+ items to drool over. Yeah.. good luck to anyone bidding on any of these items. The big money will come out now. Not sure if this is good for collectors or not - Brian
  2. I would be beaming to have been in your shoes! What a huge first bass.. might be hard to top that one for a few years! Wowzers! Brian
  3. That is one tremoundously / swift / photo. Great shot of what I am sure is an ever better dog! If this winner wins again - do share! Brian
  4. Glad to have you - climb in wherever you're ready! best fishes - Brian
  5. I havent seen the new flyshop yet - but I will also say this shop has always and will always be a great fly shop for all your needs. Do not hesitate to stop by (and maybe even buy!) Anything happening in Dinosaur now ? Brian
  6. Nice site! I like it! YOU should check it out! best fishes - Brian
  7. I see lots of little Kingfishers, and I see tons and tons herons.. I see about everything flying around down there.. but I am not sure I have seen these guys. What would you liken to the size are these Ospreys ? I read here where they might resemble Eagles. And if they are not solid white, (like gulls) then I am not sure I have seen them lately. Perhaps too busy fishing yes.. but I am the guy following foxes in the dark with a camera and a pooper scooper. So ?!?! Brian
  8. Well written my friend.. well done!~ The best laughter is you caught fish. Brian
  9. Did it look like this ??? I am not sure I've seen these at Taney myself - Brian
  10. Across from Gene's is like a total bluff bank ? Aint it ? Who .. what ... when... where ???? Norfork sure is a changin'! I wish it would all go Gold Medal Fly Only. (just my opinion) I used to know the guys that owned the rental house right there at the turn-in at the Handicapped Access. The would let me park around back and fish where ever I wanted along the property. I miss those days. That got kinda strange when them condo's went up down below. Are those owned by Peals still ? screaming reels - Brian
  11. Perhaps someboedy saw something and will come forward. Someone will surely have seen some of this. I agree.. sheesh.. - Brian
  12. ESPN Link to Pujols article - early Monday night Not since 1962 and Stan Musial has another Cardinals player hit 4 consecutive home runs in 4 at bats. Albert Pujols is on fire! ( and I hope it is infects the whole team! ) Wow~! Let's hope they pull out a sweep against these cellar dwelling Pirates! Dunn hit # 8 out for the Reds just now. Pujols still in the lead! Brian
  13. I say Simms all the way. I used to be an LL Bean guy.. back when they had the Kevlar GoreTex waders.. they were great but the feet had issues. My Simms Classic Guide models have seen some serious usage and been back to the factory for new feet and a routine checkup one time in 6 years. They only charged me $25 for the feet too, instead of Orvis doing a prorated deal on the value of what is left on the waders. The only sad thing is most products from Simms say Bozeman, MT on the box but each product has a little gold 'Made in China' sticker on it. (There are other waders I didnt see... Patagonia, Cloudveil (brand new).. uh.. one more I cant think of with the zipper front.) tight lines - Brian
  14. Any updates on McClellans dock ? Are they going to rebuild ? Brian
  15. Betcha its a UV dubbed scud pattern.. them bugs work pretty good!~ So JS, whats the dealio ? - Brian
  16. Shop & Compare - Link My folks have a Cuisinart they've been using for years. Good Luck- Brian
  17. Well, we, the Cardinals won earlier today with Ponson on the hill.. minus Edmonds who had a shoulder injury and needed a cortizone shot (i.e. - a break from his lackluster past coupla hitting and outings at center). Luna had a career day.. a different closer actually closed and Pujols hit another shot out. Lets just see how we do tomorrow with Mulder on the mound, I hear Griffey is gonna play. (he did just pass Mantle on the all time HR list ya know) go CARDS! - Brian
  18. I got some real deals happening this weekend! Just click the link in the first post to see all the stuff I have up for sale on the eBay. Thanks - Brian
  19. Try this method : click below FAO - Wet / Good vs. Bad Just an idea for ya - Brian
  20. Kyle - sorry to hear about the seat location.. but like you mentioned.. all is not lost. I would also imagine in time they would put up another scoreboard that can be seen from where you guys are seated. I was totally in shock today when Edmonds blew those 2 plays, basically costing us the game early on. When Carlos Lee robbed the homer from Encarnacion and then later ends up winning the game with his own homer in the 11th.. whew -- what a game of ups and downs this one was with the Brew Crew. Worst of all to me is Izzy seems to be getting worse before getting better. All new series coming up with the powerful Reds and especially with Harang pitching tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed. go CARDS! Brian
  21. Nothing shines as much as Rio Fluoroflex +. That stuff is probably second on my list of tippet.. behind Orvis Mirage. I totally love the stuff. The Frog Hair has a little more stretch in it (I think) over the Mirage.. but in the end.. if you lose or break off a fish, it usually has to do with a bad not or nick that went unnoticed. best fishes - Brian
  22. This used to be legal in Taneycomo.. spawn bags! I could still see a huge brown falling for one of those someday yet to come. I just would hate to see the mortality rate it would carry on trout. But for carp - anything goes! best fishes - Brian
  23. Roark Creek itself holds a small number of smallmouth throughout it.. but I am not too sure about where it dumps into Taney. I have hiked up into there a few times.. but not in a while. The one area I know holds smallies on the Creek is now behind a gate, and the other spot I know (by stockstill park) doesnt have a whole lot of water in it right now, but it might in May. I would focus for trouts in Taney up at the dam. You will be shocked at the large number of beautiful fish.. and possibly the amount of other anglers you see. ( sorry to end on a sort of negative note ) Most all - enjoy your trip! Brian
  24. Phil - do you still have any copies of Ozark Trout Tales ? ( got any signed ? ) Brian
  25. Many congrats on your new keeper, jOrOb!
