    Foam really works well for bass flies - and I use all blank for ants and beetles. The key is to have VARIETY. Not all the same shape and size drives fish crazy. I like that shade of yellow because I am color blind. Fish like it too, especially in the early AM. the fly below is painted foam - QTpie Ants are favorite - but these little yellow things come off right away - poo

    Rick - I never saw the man again... I was able to hang onto three soft hackles he gave me for a long time - like 8 years.... He taught me a special lesson - the greatest gift I will ever know. To be more curious. Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome. oh yeah - I was always heading to the Big Hole... fishing Muddlers as dry flies in the moonlight til 5am.

    laker - I believe all the System 2L reels WERE made in England... I will dig out some photos for the thread in a flash. the original system 1 reels were not... even though they were still made by somebody good.

    First off - a search turned up not a lot recently discussed using the words Mustad AND fly AND hook. This query is for you - do you, when available, use Mustad. Do you buy them on purpose.

    Random posts of worthless nothing are taking up space all over this board - and some want to add to it ? Shame the focus isn't where it should be. Posts about nothing are just that. For me - its about respecting the guy runs this whole page for us. He has patience. I admire that. ___________________________________________________________________ Side note - I learned how to use the IGNORE feature of this webpage. If you dislike the content - you too can ignore it. And the people who post it.
