This is also a problem for me. As a matter of fact I just looked at some Flitterbaits - Google it if you dare.

My dream would be to see four 16 team conference, each conference having two 8 team divisions. Division winners meet for the conference championship, 4 conference champs playoff for the title. I know, it's just a dream.

Turnovers are always a factor that can turn what could be a close game, into a blow out either way. Hard to predict them.

Anyone seen a line on this game? I'd think since they are at Mizzou, that Mizzou will be favored. Hogs did not run the ball well early in the game with Ole Miss, Ole Miss D line played well and it appears Mizzou's D line is very capable. If the Hogs have to get it done through the air, well that's a scary thought. Hogs D has obviously been playing well. Could be a low scoring game, along the lines of 10-7 or 17-10.

Some great fish - I made the mistake yesterday of thinking that the weather forecast calling for rain all day was going to be correct, so I did not go. Looks like it turned out to be a great day to be on the water. I had to console myself by watching football.

I'm looking forward to the game. Brandon Allen got knocked out of the game yesterday with a bad back, hopefully he'll be back next week.

That Eagle Rock to point 23 stretch has been squirrely lately. Get up near the Kings and the bite is better. Kings gets a lot of pressure, I think just about every fishy looking bank gets 3-4 boats a day stop by and fish it.

I would welcome you, but seeing that you're an Alabama fan, I am having 2nd thoughts. Just kidding - Welcome to a great site!

OK, I will confess - Magic Ghost Orange Craw was the color I was really using.

I did try the Ghost PB&J, one 12" bass on it, had another chase it right to the boat.

Launched at around 0930, fished some around the Big M area, not much going on there - I don't know why, but lately it has been hard for me to find a bite around there. Went down the lake and fished some of the banks and coves near the mouth of the Kings and up the Kings a bit. Found some fish here and there, ended up with 10 bass, 5 on a Spro McStick and another 5 on a T-rigged tube. McStick bite was a little funny, fish would hit it as I was working it, only had one on a pause and that was about after a 1/2 second of pause and then the fish grabbed it. Water temps were from 52 to 54.

Alligator gar down there in Texas, none in TR as far as I know. From what I've seen, the gar in TR are primarily shad eaters, I don't see them as having much effect on gamefish. All of us out there sticking hooks in the fish are probably the biggest factor.

When you say "smoking something", I'm assuming you're talking about food? That brisket you did last year was mighty tasty! I'd say once we get within a week of the trip, we should do a final head count.

Got some of the new Warts today. Nice looking baits, the ghost colors have a shiny finish to them, instead of the matte finish that are on the old ghost green and brown craws. PB&J looks really good. Real test will be on the water of course.

Yep this is ridiculous, 13 here this morning. No fishing today, but may be warm enough tomorrow.
