  1. I caught a 17" eye this AM, and some bass, the bass were stuffed with shad and fat. My guess is the bass are getting after the shad, not so much the wallies.
  2. Yes, good job of story telling. Heckuva fish, looks like you did all that could be done to bring it to hand, just did not work out.
  3. Here's a link to a striper length to weight chart. 42" striper........about 30 lbs. http://www.stripers247.com/striped-bass-length-to-weight-chart.php

    Skunk Removal

    Good stuff!
  5. Have to say it looks more like a 30# to me, but maybe it's the perspective.
  6. I'm sure it's crazy out there on a weekend, weekdays are bad enough.
  7. Come to think of it, I have not seen many snakes this year. Lots of lizards however.
  8. That SK ramp is convenient for thieves - right by the road, trees that block the view from the road.
  9. Lackey is a competitor, works hard, he may do well in the NL.
  10. Good deal PD.
  11. Thanks for the warning.
  12. I saw an article as quoting him as saying he planed to play next year at that low salary.

    Skunk Removal

Yeah I would think that if you could get close enough for a picture, that skunk would be dead.
  14. Good luck, I fish that area quite a bit and will be interested to hear how you do.
  15. And Lackey signed some contract that only pays him $500K next year, which is pocket change these days in MLB.
  16. Sox beat the Yanks last night, man what a change to their lineup these trades have made.
  17. Yep, Cards SHOULD be in the playoffs this year.
  18. The title made me look - thought it was some guy named "Green Slim" making a report.
  19. I'd be interested in the fishing part, as long as I don't have to drive too far.
  20. Welcome!
  21. Only top water bite I can get is around Emerald beach, doesn't seem to work elsewhere. But, as you saw, too many boats there today so I did not fish it. Lot of bass boats out today, must be the cool weather.
  22. Thought the bite might have picked up after the cool, rainy weather, but it was still tough - caught 7 bass, 2 were keepers. Did not catch any top water fish, just not much going on topside. Almost all fish came off steep chunk rock or bluff banks in 15-20 FOW on a watermelon/red Trick worm on a 3/8 oz wobble head. It was good to catch some fish on that kind of structure, so maybe some of them are starting to move on to it. Water temp 80.
