  1. I just can't get excited about the NIT, but if somehow it leads to another Hogs/Mizzou matchup I'd probably watch that game.
  2. I'll also add that if you get snagged up on some line, pull it in if you can and get it out of the lake. I pulled in a 20 yard stretch of mono yesterday on TR.
  3. I've got a Phoenix.
  4. A bit of a slow day today, caught a dozen bass, but most were 12" dinks, only one keeper that was 16" or so. Caught the fish on tubes and the Ned rig. Did catch a 20" Wallie on the Ned. Toted him around in the live well hoping for a 2nd eye to make it worth cleaning, but could not find #2, so the eye got to swim free. Water temps 43-48.
  5. Very nice!
  6. Thinking about it a little more, I could see where GA might slip in as the #4 SEC team, especially if they beat KY.
  7. I watched the game yesterday, and you're right, it was a good game until the last half of the 2nd half. I was beginning to think Mizzou might take it down to the end and have a shot at winning. Hard to say if the selection committee will go with 4 SEC teams or 3. If they decide that they take 4 SEC teams, it will probably come down to choosing AR or Mizzou. So I believe there is still a faint chance of one of them making it. I'd say Mizzou as they have beaten the Hogs twice.
  8. I never have "over-runs" that were caused by something I did. It's always a defect in the reel such as - poor design, or a manufacturing defect.
  9. Freaking Hogs down in flames, I'm done with them until next year, NIT is for chumps. Let's hope Mizzou pulls it out against FL.
  10. The whole state of CA has been ruined, it's too bad.
  11. Wow, that is an INSANE walleye! Congrats!
  12. Those high water years were before my Table Rock fishing days. 935 is crazy.
  13. The biologists claim that on Beaver it takes 7.5 years on average for a spotted bass to reach 15". I believe it's about the same for Table Rock. No idea on LM's or SM's, my guess is that LM's grow a bit faster.
  14. That 2nd spot is ridiculously fat.
  15. I am actually thinking of tossing a fly around
  16. Yep Tight is a good man, one of the best. When my grandpa was alive, every Sunday after church he'd stop by Tight's house and they'd talk about farming and whatever. I'm drawing a blank on his daughter's name, I'll think of it eventually, or I can ask my mom. Small world.
  17. Those must be really, really, fat spots, the fat 15-16" spots from TR will go 2 -2.5.
  18. I bet a really fat 20" spot would be in the 5 lb. range.
  19. I'm with you on Arkansas needing to beat Tenn. Lunardi right now has Arkansas and Tennessee in the last 4 "probables" as making the tourney. So assuming he is reading the tea leaves correctly, I'd say the winner of the AR/Vols game is in, loser is probably out. This is assuming AR beats SC of course. They should, but coming off that ridiculous loss to Bama, my confidence is shaken.
  20. Yep my mothers side of the family (Akers) is from Kennett. Hey Brett, I was going to ask you, but forgot - do you know a farmer by the name of "Tight" Williams? He's in his late 80's now, but still farming. He owns/rents quite a bit of land in the Bootheel. He's married to one of my mom's cousins.
  21. Not official yet, but looks to be a new record. 10 and a half pounds, roughly. http://www.bassmaster.com/news/new-world-record-spotted-bass
  22. Irish possum. Probably escaped from a zoo.
  23. Dtrs5kprs can handle the Ned tutorial - I'm just a beginner! There's probably a thread on herer somewhere that goes over the Ned deal Get_Tha_Net. Basically it's a light, mushroom style jighead, with 1/2 of a Zinkerz or Senko threaded on it.
  24. Beaver - YIKES! Tough nut to crack lately from what I hear.
  25. Yeah it is fun on the light tackle. Could've been a drum I suppose, I know they are in there, but I don't recall ever catching one on TR. Grand is a different story.
