  1. Heard the new 60' footer has landed at Lake of the Ozarks, guess we can thank SeaRay for this, anybody validate this?
  2. I read a copy of his book buried by table rock, did it over thanksgiving weekend. I couldn't put the book down, especially the chapters about buried treasures and dive spots!!! Great Xmas present!
  3. Anyone been out crappie fishing? A buddy on mine went out one day last week, caught 17 (between the two of them), fish were shallow on laydowns, with one dock in particular lending 10 keepers on the shady side with brush. Grand Glaize Arm was the area for the action. Any one been in the Osage to give a report? Happy Thanksgiving!!!
  4. I would try up the Gravios, some of the longer creeks work well. Or get on some very windy points with small cranks or even jerk baits.
  5. My best advice is to search all posts by Mr. Bill Babler. You'll have a good knowledge of where and what to do.
  6. Went friday for a short while with limited success very shallow (3 keeps). Trying patterns that appeared to be a little early. Did hear over the weekend that the bass were really eating football jigs deep? Anybody hear this, I can't believe these fish are still that deep (20ft +).
  7. Fished out of pontiac on saturday. Topwater action was good, but didn't last long. Two keeps and several more blow ups on short bluffs on the sammy. Went shallow looking for shad up the creeks to no avail. Then spooned on deep flats 40ft, caught one nice walleye and several decent KYs.
  8. Glad to learn bluff ends aren't summer time structure. That helps. Also, I am not looking for specifics and I don't eat bass, never would. I don't prefer the taste, plus I support catch and release. When you mean deep, you mean it!! Thanks for the help!!
  9. Just curious how the bass fishing is at bull shoals, will more than likely try some fishing this weekend (crowds permiting). Probably be in the pontiac area. thanks,
  10. So how deep exactly were you finding these fish? Are you fishing summer time structure, bluff ends, long points, humps, etc?
  11. That's what I thought. We went to college together. In fact a couple years ago on table rock, he politely came over to check our crappie. Good way to catch up with someone.......ha ha. We checked out!! LOL.
  12. Hey Lilley, Is the young man on the right a conservation agent?
  13. I agree 100% with JCMOJO. This does not hold true just for the Gravios. There are lots of docks within close proximity to PB2 with deep water and brush, although a depth finder is necessary. But I would primarily look for that, most of these docks will be located just inside main lake points or nooks with the deep water near by.......good luck and let us know how you did.
  14. See my reply at top of topic screen "bass fishing" to user name "vacation".
  15. I would try some main lake points, secondary points leading from spawning areas. Also, good place to try just inside main lake points. Look for docks, deep water and brush. I would use a big worm, brush hog (texas rig) or carolina rig out on those points. Good colors are motor oil, red shad for the worm and green pumpkin, water melon candy, watermelon for brush hog. That should get you started. Good luck.
  16. Awesome, I love the chug bug. Thanks for the reply!!
  17. I heard from a realible source the Super Solo was won with bed fish a weekend or so ago. I would start looking for the light spots in shallow water. Just a recommendation. The area you are taking off from would not require much running.
  18. Great post Don, will this work in the Kim City to Aunts area too?
  19. I'm hearing the split shot bite and chomper bite is really good right now in the Kim City area. Mainly secondary points with mixed gravel, try rigging it a chompers bait or throwing a chompers on the stand-up head. I will be down next week for two days and will post more info!!! Adios.
  20. Bill, Very generous of you to post these spots!!!!! I know I really appreciate it, not very people willing to help others out or get them started. Much thanks!!!
  21. I agree, very friendly.
  22. I agree. Part of the problem here has been low and clear. Several weeks ago (4/15) they were as shallow as shallow gets (above Hurricane deck bridge, water clear here too). I would have thought the Gravios area would be a little behind this??? I could not get bit shallow here. So fish are either coming or going or perhaps like you mentioned not going at all?? take care.
  23. Water Temp 64.7....what issues with the Rock? Use to fish there religously until moving to Central Mo. In fact your postings last year really helped me out!!!
  24. Had a great day yesterday fishing the Gravios area. Did manage two limits with my partner (done by noon). All fish were brush related, mainly off shore stuff. Average depth of presentation, prob. 10-15ft was the deal and real slow method. Mainly small grubs, road runners and marabous. Colors were not that important. But mainly whites and chart's with red heads. take care.
  25. Just wanted to say Hi and great forum. Well kept.
