Great trip, just had some friends get back from this week, on average 50-60 smallmouth a day was the report. Is that possible? -
My buddy trailers his rig to and fro'.....it's equiped with (4) nice OB 300hp pro-maxes, it's a tunnel rig too and super loud. I am sure you've seen it or at least heard it. Nuts!

You know I have witnessed this alot ( I say alot, but I don't fish everyday like Bill ), usually when crappie fishing up here at LOTO. You pull up to a brush pile next to a condo dock and there are people keeping every fish they catch (obviously not long enough) or some guy is cleaning the smallest crappie and bass you have ever seen at his cleaning station on his private dock. I have never reported anyone, just figured they would have to answer for it someday!!!

Hey skeeter ask that marina owner which boat he would rather fill up a 20footer or 42footer??? I'm in favor of a lenght limit, but that will never happen. To much money involved. That is why I night fish in the summer or off the water by 10:30am. Later.

seven drowings YTD up here at LOTO. We had I believe 11 total last year. Booz and boating don't mix.

I am sure this has been addressed somewhere before and if it has then point me in the right direction so I can read for myself and not waste anyone's time, but when does it become trespassing if your fishing on a river. Lets say either out of a canoe or you access the river via low water bridge or something like that? This happened to me last weekend so just curious what the real law says. I left to avoid any confrontations. Much appreciated.

Fished the Pomme this weekend at ten foot hole or at least that is what it's called by locals. We were there for smallies, but I caught mainly blue gills. We did manage one smallmouth not real big but decent size. The river is running real nice right now, wade fishing is difficult in some places. We were using little zoom critter craws on a jig head. Normally those smallmouth can't resist, but this trip the blue gill were on every cast! Later,

I have been checked more times in my life on that lake than any other, but usually during the crappie season. My ole' college buddy Quentin was last to verify me as a legal fisherman and I was glad he did. Bill is right, not enough agents to make the rounds. I have seen on HWY60 east bound where they will set up a check point, put out a road sign before the checkpoint acknowledgin whats up ahead, but strategically place it next to a country road so people will freak out and try to turn around and they will have a squad car waiting on them. That's a good one!!! It is sad, but drugs are everywhere. take care.

I wasn't directing the curb side spot check as out of line, just find it odd the the majority of findings were drug related vs. alcohol. Up here at LOTO these traffic related stops result in several DWIs not generally narcotics related stuff. I am glad there is law enforcement doing what they do. I was just inquiring about the special occasion (location) for the set-up. Typically it might be because of some series of events held at the river, lake or whatever (holiday)is going on??

I wish I did. Some local shops down there use to sell em' I believe (Bull shoals, ark). I had a buddy that fished with him in a draw tournament and said these little jigs were amazing. I believe he gave him a few. -
