  1. A couple years ago fishing below the dam for crappie we caught several spoonbill (about every other cast) accidently in the tail in the current. Great fight on small rod!!!
  2. Looks like a pretty tough event give the tournament weights from the CPAA this weekend.
  3. I noticed yesterday the river was running pretty good, first time all winter I have seen this, there can be some great fishing below the dam when they pull water, anybody been out?
  4. I have some at Tim's place right now, not suspenders, but old colors they don't make anymore. He is the best in my opinion. I use the suspender religously at LOTO early spring V37.
  5. SKMO, Your welcome, I didn't really think of it until the earlier discussion was brought up about the olden days (not that i would qualify). How about the fish caught on the crappie jigs, Jan/Feb no doubt!! I am doing an edit, thanks to phil for posting this information for me. Another interesting bit, Kentuckys are mentioned, but now days that get all the hype. One smallmouth caught 4 1/4# on a bomber.
  6. Lilley, You got an email address or would you rather me post here? The information is not as old as I originally thought (1975) but dates back to 1965. It's old to me..... thanks,
  7. It's coming along, alot of roofless docks.
  8. SKMO, I agree, I don't have access to any better information to decide whether it is a positive, negative or nuetral effect. Thanks for sharing.
  9. WELCOME!!!! Fishing is good here according to the reports I have been hearing. This weekend should nice warmer temps with sun shine and wind. Should have been a good bite.
  10. The gentlemen on the Table Rock board do a good job getting you close without giving precise details away. Besides finding fish and being able to catch fish are two different things, to many variables. I will post my findings. Good luck.
  11. SilverMallard, Well put it is all about the education. Don't think for a second the poultry industry is not looking into ways to properly address manure management. I can tell you right now that Univeristy of Arkansas is looking for ways to efficiently burn litter to heat poulrty houses. The key is education and research. Actively pursuing options, litter control is very important alternative use; besides spreading it on to open pastures is apart of this task. Also, currently in progress is the use of corn as an alternative for a heat source. Using corn allows a cleaner and more efficient burn. And also in many cases allows the poultry litter to be exchanged for corn, taking litter out of these water sheds and transfering it to productive farm ground where it is utilized and not turned into run-off.
  12. Great thanks. I am guessing low forties?
  13. Just curious?

  16. That's a steal are you sure this deal is legal Is there good bank fishing from your locale?
  17. CrossRoads? My vote is to ask the boys in Nixa at Tangora's marine.
  18. Have caught some dandy smallies on top during this time at B.S. But my pick would would have to agree with Lilley on this one. The dam's pea gravel, and pea gravel pockets.
  19. Kayser, Good topic, I was a little skeptical about walleye being in the lake in huge porportions, but as I understand it they are a few swimmers. In fact right now know of some guys fishing above Hurricane deck bridge using stickbaits to catch them. I believe the Niangua arm was heavily stocked with walleye some time ago..... Can anyone help, Fishinwrench?
  20. FISHY?
  21. I purchased several of the new Xcalibur twitch baits. I really like their quality and they don't require to much modification out of the box.
  22. SportsShow_2007.doc Columbia, Missouri see attachment. FYI. It is a great show for all ages.
  23. I can appreciate that!! Is it allowable in the "Man's" room?
  24. Caught several crappie deep fishing for bass last week. 50ft foot of water in the shad balls, main lake gravel point. Not many but the ones we caught where 14"+. We also had 10 KY keeps 50-65ft deep in ditches on flats. No wind present, bottom oriented.
