  1. Price dropped to $125
  2. I love my jet! It's always fun buzzing across the flat at Short Creek and watching everybody wave at you to slow down LOL.
  3. I didn't know you could keep a limit and then continue to fish on Taneycomo. I've always just kept three and then kept releasing them. I'll have to remember that next time I am down there. As for the jumping to conclusions, that happens on every forum I frequent. A big one is when somebody posts a picture of a buck with less than four points on either side and that starts all sorts of flack even though a large part of southern Missouri doesn't have the antler restrictions like the northern half. That's just the internet for ya.....
  4. Price dropped to $250.
  5. I've had it a couple of years and it has worked flawlessly. I'm looking to upgrade to SI now so this needs to go. The power and transducer cables, head unit, and RAM mount are all included. Asking $250 obo.
  6. Bought it earlier this year and it has been used four or five times this fall on suckers. It allows you to score a skinless fillet without cutting all the way through the fish. Asking $125.
  7. Nice fish! I love catching those hybrids! They were catching some really nice stripers and hybrids up below Bagnell last month on shad from what I heard.
  8. I've heard corn will kill fish because they can't digest it properly. Is that true? We've caught a lot of trout down at Taney that were full of corn before. Always wondering what effect it had on bigger fish.
  9. I can't tie deer hair to save my life so I just cheat and glue a small piece of popper foam on to the hook and go over it with a brown marker.
  10. I would use 10 gauge at a minimum but preferably 8. I have a 12v 55# and wish I had 6 awg but it came with 8 awg from the factory so that's what I have stuck with.
  11. Fished a few hours in the pond hole and also down at the bathroom hole. Dad and I caught 9 at the pond hole on 007 fished below a float about 1.5' deep and a pink trout worm twitched back on a small jighead. Caught three more at the bathroom hole drifting yellow power bait along the bottom. Below in the faster water people were catching trout regularly as well on what looked like a dough bait below a float about 3' deep. Much better fishing that the previous few times I've went this year.
  12. My parents were down there Thursday-Sunday and knocked the snot out of the fish as well on powerbait up around Short Creek. I sure did miss not being able to make it down there this June. First time I've not gone since I was a little guy. Hopefully we'll get time to make a weekend trip in August at least.
  13. I've seen them at Bagnell for years now, but nothing like that. A person would get lots of bowfishing practice up there that's for sure.
  14. That's what I'm thinking! The Legend likes those shallow riffles. Bad part about it is with wade fisherman being around every corner and with a jet, you can't let off if it's shallow. Waders probably don't understand that and think were just being jerks.
  15. Shad were few and far between at the wall. I figured they would be easy to get since they have been generating lots of water. I managed to get six, which was plenty since fishing was so slow. All night long I had nibblers that I couldn't hook. I managed to get two channels about 4 pounds a piece and that was it. I'll probably hold up until July and hope things pick up by then. On a side not, man I can't believe how bad the asian carp are up there anymore. Once it got dark, you could shine your light in the water and see hundreds of them about a foot long feeding under the surface.
  16. I don't have a first person report, but it sounds like the fish are in post spawn mode and scattered right now. You can pick them up but it's not nearly as easy as it was three-four weeks ago.
  17. How bad is the boat traffic closer to dark on LoZ? I normally stay below Bagnell Dam when I go catfishing, but have wondered how the lake side would be on points and in the coves at night.
  18. Glad to hear you got some hybrids. I never did catch any this year. Had a buddy get a few earlier in the year, but nothing big like in years past.
  19. I've seen the shad crazy thick at the mouth of the Maries a couple of times. They aren't always there though. One day they are nowhere and then the next they black out the graph. Other then that I don't know what to tell you. Hopefully there's some other guys who are better and getting shad in that area that can respond.
  20. Bagnell has been running water lately so you should be able to run just about anywhere and not worry about hitting. When the water is off, you still have plenty of water to run, but there are a few spots just down from the ramp that look deeper than they really are.
  21. They are plankton feeders so you have to snag them to catch them. There's a season that runs from March 15 - April 30 every spring just for this purpose. People either hate or love to eat paddlefish. The flesh is more like chicken than a fish in my opinion. Grill it, fry it, boil it in cajun, or whatever else you can think of.
  22. Yea it's probably a good thing you didn't go down to Shelvin with your boat. There are two rapids between Blue Hole and Shelvin Rock that were a bit rough! There's some big ol rocks underneath there causing them I'm pretty sure.
  23. We went to Delaware Town today as well. Our boat got 10 fish and our buddies boat got about 20. Each boat had a fish that was pushing 75-80 pounds. We kept six small males and one 45# sow and tossed back the bigger ones for next season. Wasn't as awesome as I was hoping, but still a decent end to the season.
  24. I've never put it at Hootentown, just Delaware Town. In 2008 when it was really high, Delaware Town didn't seem too bad so I was just curious if it was any different this time.
  25. Will Delaware Town and Hootentown be good to launch from this weekend?
