  1. Happy Birthday and thank you for your help and insight.
  2. Thank you very much for this and other informative posts. As someone who finds grandchildren, their horses, church .... becoming more of a priority, and fishing much less, this is a great forum to visit and learn and see that there are still fish being caught.
  3. OBBT Is the alabama style rig allowed? Thank you
  4. Fished the Joe Bass out of Kimberling City. We caught a small limit on jerk baits in the Baxter area. Caught a lot of small fish also. Saw some beatiful smallmouths weighed in and many nice limits. For the second tournament the A rig dominated by people who put in the effort to locate the fish and I applaud them and acknowledge they earned by thier efforts and not a majic bait. Will this (A-rig) be the case in May or is there a time/season that the A rig method is less effective? I guess I need to learn this method also as I have not yet been willing to put in the time. Thank you.
  5. I have the 6'5" Mike McC Cara jerk bait rod and really like it. Search here and you'll see that many use it.
  6. Searched various on-line tackle and could not find. Does someone have a source for cable guard mushroom heads that they can share? Thank you.
  7. You can usually find them on BBC also for less than ebay, you guys are sharing too many secrets : ), I buy the red label (made in Oklahoma) and blue label (Mexico) during the year in non collectable colors and send to Tim to repaint in the winter.
  8. First let me say how much I enjoy this forum and all those who post. I read the forum every week but seldom have anything to post. My wife and I put in at Big Indian Saturday and fished to Big Creek looking for walleyes. Found small kentuckies on the white spoon and drop shot crawlers but no eyes- I really have never fished for walleyes after March. Bill I think I waved at you, we were in the white BassCat near the hazard bouy near Baxter. Thank you, Jim
  9. Thank you all for the help and advice. I had jumped out and bought several mcsticks on sale last year and was thinking of selling them to pay for some 110's as I just haven't thrown the spros at all- but I'll wait and give them a try. Thanks, Jim
  10. When I get to fish a jerkbait, I cannot put the megabass down long enough to give the mcstick an honest trial, are there days/weather ... that one works better than the other? Thank you, Jim
  11. Just finished listening to the pod cast. Awesome. Thank you to all.
  12. Drove up to Baxter, put in around 8, white basscat, and point hoped toward KCity. Fishing was great from 8 until 10:30 with 6 keepers on wiggle wart including one 5 lb LM and one 3 lb SM. Also had 5 or 6 shorts and 2 keeper SM on football jig. Lost contact with the fish around 11:00 and looked deep, shallow and in betweeen (remember Buck Perry), Got 2 kentucy's suspended over 60 ft and 2 short SM on jigs about 30 ft deep from 11 until 3. Where did the fish go? Thank you.
  13. As you said - Just awesome.
  14. No, mainly go to Grand Lake, I have lost confidence in Beaver, go maybe 8 - 10 times per year to Beaver as 1/2 day trips, always midlake or river. Table Rock is soo great compared to Beaver. Short K's on Table Rock are solid keepers on Beaver.
  15. A quick report to follow up on an earlier post requesting information. Put in a Big Indian and fished points to the mouth of Big Creek. Probably due to the weather, we caught fish at every stop. Accomplished the goal to catch a keeper SMJ. Many, many short K's and 2 keepers on drop shot, 6 keeper SMJ and a dozen shorts on 1/2 oz football jig, 2 keeper LM on spoon. (Wished I had thought to try a spook) Drop Shot was relatively shallow 20 -35 feet, SMJ were 10 - 20 ft. Spoon fish - saw on electronics in 40 ft. water. Did run a few pockets with spinnerbaits in the rain - no fish. Thank you for a great forum.
  16. Have not been on Table Rock since March. Want to take my dad to catch a smallmouth after reading all of the fine reports. Is the action only in the Dam area or could I find fish in the Baxter area? Thank you for any help and this fine forum.
  17. Thank you, Helps a lot.
  18. When you speak of rolloffs are these falt points on channel swings? Other? I have not heard that term before. Thank you.
  19. North 36-30-59 West 94-58-09 (Duck Creek on Grand)
  20. Excellent. I too have made a copy for the tackle box. I haven't fished Table Rock in a few years please help me rembember - are there cedar trees in all parts of the lake or only in the dam to mid-lake area? Thank ou.
