I'm wondering who's gonna eat the other 6 burgers. Naw, he owes me an apology. I fed his butt and helped him out to boot, and all he could say was my meat tasted boiled. Not even a thank you for dinner, ness. As a side note: there was no water used in the making of the pulled pork so it's plain old Crock Pot prejudice, nothing else. He won't suffer any ness BBQ again. Ther, I got that off my chest. 😄

I was in Manhattan, KS ( the "Little Apple") the other day and saw that. Frankly it just sounded wierd but maybe I'll give it a try sometime. Went out to Prairie Fire Winery in the Flint Hills near Paxico, KS for the release of their 2015 Frontenac. They do a nice job with all their wines, but the Frontenac is especially good. Nice, light-bodied red. Also do a nice Traminette which is a German-style white.

From the other night. Spaghetti (well, linguine) carbonara. Pasta, egg, Romano, a little bacon. Will do this one again.

Freakin phone. I never know what the hell is gonna end up here. What I typed out before, and apparently pasted over, is that I knocked a couple green maters off the vine and fried them up. Since I had the batter stations set up I did a chop too. Mayonnaise, bread and butter pickles and hot sauce on the maters. Corn was really good.

Everybody's got a favorite kind of egg. I like poached until the whites are set but the center is still very runny...a buttered piece of good toast with S&P.

One of my all time favorite summer things. That's a Cherokee Purple and the flavor is outstanding! On some whole milk cottage cheese, because I'm not wasting it on some watery low fat kind.

I've got a couple mesh bags I use. One, I think, is a bag that's used to wash delicate clothes in. Its been hanging around the house forever. I didn't buy it, because I don't wear delicates 😄

Got a few small ones in. Two Cherokee Purples and a Celebrity. Both CPs are cracked pretty badly, but I showed the best side. Squirrel ate the side of a good one. Dang it.

I'll leave the fishing recommendations to others. Research places to eat and get some good Cajun/Creole food while you're there.

I started brewing probably 25 to 30 years ago. A couple college buddies of mine did it too. We worked our way up to full grain brewing using a bunch of cobbled together stuff. We didn't have all the equipment choices that are out there now, and wouldn't have had the money anyway. Never got that good at it and then kids came along and we gave it (and a lot of other stuff) up. Saw them at a party a couple weeks ago and one of them has picked it back up. Brought a couple mini kegs for us to try and it was very, very good. Surprisingly good actually. Better than the stuff from Brew Lab I told about above. Last time we got together he brought some wine he'd made from grapes imported from California, and it was very good too. Kinda get the itch every now and then, but I get a lot of itches. Never seem to have the time.
