I certainly hope that a lot of people read this thread, because these are great examples of the outdoor practice of "layering". This is the number 1 weapon against hypothermia and really can save your life.

Oh, as for me, poly sock liners, wool knee socks, silk bottoms (you should try them Dano ) fleece lounge bottoms, under armour top, fleece sweater hoodie, insulated vest and a weatherproof jacket if needed. I also have 2 pairs of gloves, neoprene/fleece fingerless and heavy mittens. Some of this may not be worn at the same time, but they are close at hand if needed.
I am finding that the older I get, the colder it gets.
