Speaking of which, I wish they would start pulling it down, they started and pulled down couple feet and now pulling water every so often for a few hours but lake staying at same levels
I sort of disagree with you, structure is structure. And when Marcus is talking fishing I am listening ?. Yes I agree there is plenty of silt over the years on places but a sharp break will still be a sharp break and so forth. The worse thing I see is when I go into a pocket and it is full of leaves that people have blown in there in the fall. I have a spot I got lucky and found in a silted in spot with what I think is a big log laying flat and over the years has created a drop on the down current side of it which I have caught several good ones out of in that silted in spot with a small depression.
as for brush piles I enjoy catching fish out of piles I have placed or that I have found, doesn't matter. These days with the electronics people have they won't be YOUR piles for long. It is much easier to catch fish out of someone else's brush pile because it is work to make your own that's for sure. I think I had around 300 waypoints when I moved here and I am now well over 900 waypoints with most all waypoints not being my piles.
Those of you who visit this page as well as the BassingBob page there is a good article in the newsletter with Marcus Sykora on how he uses his maps/graphs as well as a video set to come out next week, intro looked great, can't wait to see full video
Yes I think you are correct, it is slowly coming back to me.
Wrench I think Watson is getting a bunch of press just because he is such a character, funny dude
As for Kevin cutting off Watson from what it sounded like that Kevin went farther up and worked back to Watson is what I am guessing, we are watching the condensed version. And as far as me thinking I/We are as good as Christie is not what I was trying to say. Just saying this area is a HEAVILY used release area and are tons of good fish released there. Even the tournaments held here all year long cannot fish where he was fishing.
Dave, just have to fish in middle of the week ?. Table Rock was pretty bad in June last year as well when I met you at Schooner creek, but not quite as bad as here I grant you. I think the big boat traffic helps keep the fishing great here because it eliminates a lot of fishing pressure on the fish along with stable water conditions (good spawns).
I believe MLF records were broken at The LOZ event, I wish they would have eliminated areas of release fish where Christie was fishing, anyone of us could have done that. Lane and the other young guy on the other hand crushed them, not fishing a release area with topwater lures.
think they had 2 rounds out of Glaize and 2 rounds out of Gravois. This show was out of Glaize arm, saw them fishing worms, senkos, flukes, buzzbait, WP, spooks.
Just got back from a family wedding in Tennessee and watched the program tonight, they were fishing the Glaize arm and Christie won round fishing inside the buoys at PB2, surprise, surprise! But Lane and other young guy were throwing the small whopper plopper and lane mixed in a spook all day it looked like. They were catching some nice ones for sure.
