  1. Boys you best get down now if you want some fast and furious action, the whites are going to town if you happen to be at the right spot at the right time and even if you're not you can still catch some as long as you hit the bank with your cast. Went out for a couple hours and we had 12-15 with a nice striper on the whopper plopper That took off like a freight train, fun stuff.
  2. Only 25 boats coming out of old kinderhook ramp at 8:00, same tomorrow
  3. Well I went down to Old Kinderhook yesterday and got to talk with Mark Weise for a bit, super nice guy. Also talked with Mike McClelland and he was super nice as well. Talked with a few of the other fisherman as well. In the auction to pick anglers it was $3100 for top pick (WOW) and that pick was none other than Marcus Sykora. It looks like the right pick for $900 I believe it was (so for) was Roger Fitzpatrick / Denise Dill with 21.69. Golf round today and back to fishing Friday which looks to be a much better fishing day.
  4. I was a little kid and went down to my grandmothers house in the summer who lived just up the hill a mile or so.
  5. Saw Ernie do that with minnows at Webb Creek boat dock when I was a little kid.
  6. Water temp around 66 degrees and stained around the 28 mm. Not sure about turnover, have been in the woods lately ?
  7. Old kinderhook
  8. Yes it is, some of the best regional guys along with some good touring pros, should be a fun event.
  9. Here is the dinner info if anyone interested, open to the public. The happy hour/dinner/auction event as well as Red Head Lake Side Grill dinner is open to non-tournament participants at a costs of $40.00 per person per dinner or $55.00 for both. Space is limited, to reserve additional tickets please email kim@bassingbob.com or register on-line. You can also buy and/or pay for your additional tickets at Old Kinderhook before the Tuesday night event.
  10. Yep, can't go wrong there. He won it last year. We will see how some of the touring pros do vs. the regional guys.
  11. Bob has some big name guys fishing this event, even some TR big sticks. Should be a great event.
  12. I think they only play 9 holes of golf but they are giving away a ranger boat for a hole in one as well as other prizes.
  13. Oh, OK that is what I was missing. Didn't say
  14. Just saw on the news a record striper of 9 lb. 1 oz. was caught on Halloween. Thought record would be bigger than that?
  15. 1 spot left I think, $1,000 + to fish with $15k to winner, so 1 in 25 boats to win. Not sure how money is split between pro and amateur angler though? Who would be your auction pick. Mine would be Marcus or Dion on second thought maybe Berhorst ?
  16. Wednesday and Friday with golf Thursday out of old kinderhook
  17. Nice! Cool stuff! That vintage beer stuff is worth good money to the right person.
  18. I went out of PB2 tonight and went to backend of Anderson hollow and small shad were loaded back there with small LM jumping out of water chasing when I would hit the trolling motor spooking the shad and I caught a couple shorts. Moved over to lazy days cove and caught 1 small keeper and lost a biggun trying to swing her in on a square bill. First time out since our club tourney a couple weeks ago which was slow for me as well but the fishing had been good before that and I am sure it is good now, just have not been out enough.
  19. I usually don't have to worry what limits are because my limit is usually one or two ?
  20. Had our last club tourney of the year and was very disappointed, was on a good deep bite with some good topwater action in the mornings catching 5 to 10 keepers a day, well they vanished. Only managed 3 keepers Sat. and 2 Sunday. Most caught fish just grinding it out with shakyheads as the bite was tough. Not sure what changed, if it was they stopped pulling the water or the full moon or a combo of both but the bite was tough.
  21. I do not think you have to worry about the turnover for next week. Fishing has been pretty good from very shallow to deep 15-20 ft unless it has changed since last week. Try top waters early and then to bottom baits later.

  23. Jigs and worms around docks, no surprise there. I am sure there are some other key bites they are getting on other things as well. Some of the lakes best in the final top 10 cut today. 25. What! Do you think there were a few fish taken out of the gravois this weekend ?. I should have just fished pb2 only last night and caught my limit and taken them elsewhere.
