  5. Completely agree.
  6. Missouri Wildlife Code 3 CSR 10-20.805 Definitions (44) Pole and line: Fishing methods using tackle normally held in the hand, such as a cane pole, casting rod, spinning rod, fly rod, or ice fishing tackle commonly known as a tip-up, to which not more than three (3) hooks with bait or lures are attached. This fishing method does not include snagging, snaring, grabbing, or trotlines or other tackle normally attached in a fixed position. The addition of hook-less attractors on the remaining two attachment points with our enforcement staff this morning. Focus remains on the number of hooks associated with the rig. Therefore, the addition of hook-less items on the remaining attachment points would be permissible as the Wildlife Code is currently written.
  7. we know somebody is gonna throw out 5 hooks until they see the ranger boat come up and then cut 2 of the hooks away.
  8. When I'm out on BS, 8 out of 10 people are fishing for walleye. Its no secret. I have yet to meet 1 or 2 guys exclusively fishing for bass even though there are good size and numbers in there. Exactly. Have you seen those 10" shads swimming around? No fish is gonna touch those except stripers.
  9. Lake Fork Magic Shads work well under certain conditions.
  10. If you have trouble catch them, just downsize your lure and I'm talking crappie jig size lures. If that doesnt work, just throw a senko into some pockets. Works everytime.
  11. Caught this fellow yesterday. They shut the outlet off but it was too nice not to fish. They didn't want the pause, just quick jerks.
  12. Caught some a few weeks ago. Didnt keep any but they are mostly small males. You should have a fun time catching bass though. Those small fry during the summer have grown and are hungry. My buddy must of caught 30 or so.
  13. Yep, ya boaters have better access to more treasurable spots than a limited shore fisherman. RSbreth, thats the sizes of the females I see during pre-spawn. Most my fish that I've caught her have been from the warm water outlet, the cove by the rock bluff or wading the James below. I'll go again during jerkbait season, and I usually do well on the x-rap also. Bought a few 65-75sp pointers so I'm anxious to see how those perform at this lake.
  14. I was fishing where the warm water spills out. I thought it was another dink bass but it didnt fight and just skidded the surface towards me haha. Also dead shads everywhere. The dink basses I caught seem like they have been eating well, full stomachs. But I asked about the fish being stunted because most my trips out there I usually catch bass in the 14"-17" range only and I see people catching the same sizes also. Sometimes a lucky fisherman will pull out a 3-4lb'r but it doesnt happen often. If you go during pre-spawn you can see the sizes of the bass swimming along the shoreline and they are not that big other than a very few ~4-5lb females in the mix. Just my observation on this lake since fishing here for 2-3 years.
  15. On any given lake I can catch crappies in decent amounts but finally I was able to land one today at Springfield Lake. Surprisingly she was a good 14", released she back healthy. Also caught 4 dink bass in the "oz" range from 13"-16" lol. Really starting to think the fish in here have been stunted. The biggest bass I've caught here has been 22" and about 4.5lbs. But I've been told by people that they have caught 8-9lbers in there. Still questionable until I see one. Have fun fishing.
  16. black. they are always black.
  17. What about them good ole' X-Raps. They are my go-to for jerkbait season.
  18. Every Lot is SOLD. Thanks
  19. Man those are complete knockoffs lol They must of molded the vision 110 and the wiggle wart. Not really into Lucky-E-Strike to say the least but goodluck and see if those things perform

  21. Wow the water is that low now? Havent been back since summer but looks alright for bank fishing finally.
  22. I would be surprised if you even caught a crappie in lake springfield. Given there should be some in there but my guess is the population has dwindled down to very few. Try McDaniels, there's a good amount there but with the heavy pressure from fisherman they are quite small.
  23. When I wast down there in the summer during the flood, there were millions of little bass fry everywhere. All the vegetation that flooded must have created a lot of beds for the bass. Looks like next year is gonna be some great bass fishing.
