  1. darn, missed this post to much time chasing the ladys around the swimming hole "pool" lately. I really should pay more attention.
  2. Have to concur with it coming out a the outlets looks like someone snagged out its eye.
  3. Nice pictures Rolan. I tried to send the cream of the crop. But you made mine look better than I remember. Thank you JJ
  4. Spent fathers day with Pops out in his canoe fishing a small local public lake and in the morning we did manage a few largemouth however as the sun came up the switch on them turned off. So we started flipping poppers for gills and caught till our arms were sore and went back to the house for pork steaks and suds. If I had not had them already smoked. I would have cleaned up a few long ears for a tasty treat. JJ
  5. All that tec. in paint ball guns and they gotta dart a bear to paint it go figure! Agreed G.F. "cant fix stupid."
  6. Good job Rich. If people are not part of the solution there just part of the problem. JJ
  7. Thanks for the mini report T.F. ! How did you do D.D.? Try that Rick's Caddis or any of the others from the swap? It has worked well for me the last few times there were lots of bites on the John Deer.
  8. Well there is a waist of a couple of lives! But maybe a bonus for the Missouri gene pool. That said its never a good idea to confront people in a threatening mannor. Let alone on there own property. *Racking sound of a pump shotgun* JJ
  9. Got mine two! Unfortunately I have been busy enough making moo la. That I was not able to try any out yet, but thats the great thing about caddis around these parts there are always some just around the next bend no matter where your fishin. All patterns look great! And I'm starting to believe that more goes into the packages for them than some of the flies. A special thanks to Deepdiver for hosting the swap. Sorry that I didn't send my p.p. envelope. No excuse just forgot it had one siting here but didn't realize. I had for got it till I saw your writing on the package. Great swap Y'all now to find a little time to sneak away for a few days and try and not loose em. JJ
  10. hope ya let that little one hear it drum....NIce pheesh
  11. I am cool with what ever you decide to do with em. Donating them to the conclave or even another package to the troops my be in order. JJ
  12. Well I managed to catch a ride to Bennett on Tuesday with Noluck. And did successfully catch a few fish on several different patterns from the swap. Mostly doing a quartering downstream swing on a floating line SH swung in and slightly below below the surface standing about midstream working both sides of the bank equally well and methodically as I could. This method took a while to really pic apart the stream and its many holds, but did produce for me and the park was fairly empty considering it was a Tuesday.(If not necessarily for a Tuesday.) I had the most success from the spring hole through the first access for people with disabilities in ZoneOne. And then again in ZoneTwo from the Stone bridge down to hatchery outlet. There were plenty of fish that didn't bite but the ones that did were aggressive takers and fighters thats for sure some producing that "O'my" wake on there way. I really enjoyed hosting our swap and hope every one else might wanna share there success stories after they get a chance to fish them. Thank you all again, JJ Ps. I will soon(probably tomorrow) be sending the cream of the crop to Roland so he can take some pictures for the sight but was informed that It may be a while before they get posted since Phil is in Alaska.
  13. CC, Thanks for the info I'll check that out really soon. But as of now Im just happy to find the time to get waist deep in a cold Spring. And I get to in the morning so it'll wait after that. JJ
  14. Have you used http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Shop.cfm?N=2004 Its a great place for Pet supplies in general but is awesome on the dry goods and such in the aquarium trade/hobby. Nice job on your tank. I'll need to get a few new/ better shots of my personal little 7year old and 7 gallon nanoreef.
  15. Have been meaning to take one off the lawn this spring but have been waiting to get a dry one.
  16. Throw the book at em. Wonder if they impounded the boat/rods for evidence.
  17. Fished at a buddy neighborhood lake for a couple of hours a little while back and hooked this one after losing one a t least a foot longer didn't bother weighing it but felt pleanty good on my old Southbend taking it name into a whole other category If somebody wants to resize this giant please pic feel free. Thats above my abilities being 90% PC illiterate.

  19. WOW Wonder what the gas bill is on a 123mph bassboat run is I would bet pretty pricey. Welcome to the OAF forum and hope all your board members stay safe goin that fast. JJ
  20. People have always not wanted to be downstream of pollutants/polluters but now with the advent of breathable waders one needs to also consider who is standing up wind...
  21. Rules? I did not read any stinkin rules! Naa I would prefer to send out non used flies the wetness would just add to the postage
  22. The last set of flies have yet to arrive here yet, however I have been contacted by the tier and was informed that they would be in the mail today as he was called out of town recently for business. So as soon as they are all in my hands they will all be returned. With a little show of gratitude from myself for the good job done by all. Thanks JJ
  23. Jeff My flies are done and will be sent to ya with the soft hackle shipment. Along with my self addressed and stamped envelope. Thanks for hosting this one had fun tying them and the flies just kept falling out of the vise nice and pretty that I went a head and wiped em out In a single sitting. Guess I better get some work done today sometime. JJ
  24. I will use a sinking tip to plunge several of the deeper pools in my favorite smallie water. And have never used The "sinking leaders" because I don't have one but once I decide the S tip line is worn out Ill chop it up and then I will.
