  1. Lmt out, Assuming you're using blades and beads on your crawler rig, what color(s) seem to be working?
  2. wtr dogs, What depth? And are you targeting flats, points, or?
  3. Thanks for the continued reports. What depth were you seeing them on the downscan and do you think they were walleye or crappie or? Would also think about going a little deeper during the middle of the day.
  4. Perfect, looking forward to your daily reports. Gonna be there soon and need all the info I can get.
  5. Thanks for the report. Gonna be there in 3 weeks, looking forward to the walleye and crappie opportunities. Hope the patterns don't change much between now and then.
  6. Guess I'll just have to locate it myself.

Nice catch, too bad you couldn't stay longer. Can't find Taylor's bridge on the map, do you mind telling me?
  8. My hotspot map puts a label in the vicinity (I guess). What direction, and how deep should I be looking? Any landmarks that might help. Thanks for your help and great forum!
  9. This is why I love to fish. Great report, thanks!
  10. Have Kanzen 20 lb braid with a 6 lb fluoro leader on a couple of my spinning reels. I've used it for a bunch of different things. With that setup I can use it for trolling, the Kanzen is the same diameter as 6 lb mono so it will let my crankbaits dive a little deeper. Used this same setup but with 8 lb fluoro for topwater and the dog walked just fine. Also used it for casting and jigging spoons. Use an Albright or double Albright to attach the leader. Also the braid casts farther which is important if your fishing in clear waters such as Stockton, Norfork, or Bull Shoals.
  11. Under the "Any other suggestions?", if you have a fish finder that you can upload .gpx waypoints to, the state puts out new brush piles every year and posts them on a website for downloading. Saves a lot of time looking for them. I can get the link if you're interested.
  12. Could be, looked for his website which seems to be down or no longer in use. Did find a couple of videos of him. Very well could be him. When he guided us he used lead line and flicker shad.
  13. Always good to start with a guide, that's what we did our first time walleye fishing at Stockton. Since then we are pretty consistent about catching them. Trying to remember our guides name, do remember we fished out a Skeeter multi-species boat. That was 2007 or 08. Gosh, what was his name, nice guy. Will be headed down there on the 12th. Let us know where you fished, ie, points, drop-offs, etc. Depths. Suggestions for lures: flicker shad, new flicker minnows in various sizes and colors. Caught a lot on those and Cablela's reef-runners. Three-way with crawler or crankbait (minnow style seems to work better for me) trolled along at about 1 mph.
  14. Thanks.
  15. Sounds like a lot of fun. Really getting excited about being there next week. What were you using and what depths?
  16. CONGRATS on the walleye. Very nice fish. This is great! We will be down there this Sunday for the week so any and all reports like this are perfect. Good bad or otherwise! Weather is supposed to be in the 70's next week.
  17. Thanks, been checking out all of the lake fishing reports.
  18. So you don't think they will be hanging around any brush piles? How deep should I expect them?
  19. Really, no one wants to discuss how they catch crappie? Gonna be there soon, guess I will have the lake to myself.
  20. Are you catching any? Where? How deep? What lure(s)? What fishing methods? What time of day?
  21. Thanks. Was reading the the dam area and Panther Bay area are the 2 to watch.
  22. I don't have down riggers either, I use a 3-way rig with a weight from 3 - 6 ozs, I can effectively get down to around 30 + feet but not 50 or 60. I will also being using spoons and be trying to vertical jig for them. As you can see from my avatar, I have a bassboat. Up until the last year or so, we mainly fished for black bass. Now we target different species depending on the lake we are on. For Norfork it's stripers and walleyes then crappie. If we are on Table Rock or Pomme de Terre it would be black bass.
  23. Thanks F&F! I'm from MO and possess the White River Border Lakes License. We will be on the AR side the whole time so we will adhere to the AR rules. I think my original post made it sound like I was worried about not exceeding the daily limit but I was more trying to establish length limits. I wish I was good enough to have to worry about exceeding daily limits. And, btw, I am sitting here at work and should be working but I always get this way before a fishing trip. Trying to accumulate as much info as possible to increase my chances of success.
  24. Ham, is it because the fish probably can't be released or you don't like trolling in general? Also, is 30 feet considered deep?
