Dan, thanks for the link update. Always informative. Been here a couple of days and so far the wind has kept us from fishing our usual places. Think the wind is settling down but now the chance of rain is picking up. Oh well, we'll make the best of it.

How does low water usually effect fishing? Seems like with less water there is less places for the fish to hide.

White bass are fun when they're feeding on the surface.

I think we all have had bad experiences with rec boaters. Not sure what is worse, how close they come some times, how much they churn up the water, or how much noise they can make. Realize they have as much right to be there but wish they were more aware of us who are fishing and give us a wide berth.

Mike, Darryl taught that when using a bink spoon you want to go up the arm and locate fish in the channel bends and concentrate on those.

All of us who have boats need to take precautions. I wash the hull and motor and flush the live well after each use but can't say that is sufficient.

Does this work year-round or is it more of a spring kind of thing? And by night is it after dark or before dawn.

Still don't get the Ned rig. It doesn't wiggle or vibrate, just kinda sits there. Yet it seems to be a bass magnet! What do you all think they think it is, a crawfish?

Read a story on line that mentioned the lack of rain causing the water level to drop. If that's true, shouldn't they stop drawing water? Is there a lower limit that they must stop at. Found this graph which I find disturbing. Shows how much the lake has dropped since the beginning of the year. Stockton Lake Levels.bmp

Would hope there is a maximum amount they can take at any one time. I can see how it would mess up Taneycomo.

And why is the water so low? I assume it's not from lack of rain, they must be drawing the lake down on purpose but for what reason? Sorry if this has already been discussed. And what is the impact on the lake as far as fishing goes? Does it help or make it worse?

How about going around the State park point, is the water deep enough between the point and the island to make it through? Here?
