  1. Thanks! Mostly just going to get to know the lake since this will be my first time. Is it because of lack of numbers? What method did you use to catch the ones you caught?
  2. Well, gonna try to get there early this Saturday and get in a few hours of fishing before it gets bad. First time there. They also stock walleye but there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in fishing for them. Why, I wonder?
  3. Considering what a popular lake Kinkaid is.
  4. !
  5. I have fished with Darryl before, last year. Never heard of Buster Loving but will look him up as well. Thanks!
  6. Congrats! Looks like a ton of fun. Wondering if it is possible to release the fish from that depth or is it a catch and keep?
  7. Plan to stock up on spoons of various colors and sizes. I am prepared to bb as it is my go-to technique.
  8. Thanks, will do that this evening.
  9. Have a week off starting August 7. Planning a trip to Norfork. Will be looking for walleye and crappie. Figure it will be pretty hot by then and the thermocline will be down around 30 feet or more. Should I plan on just fishing at night? If so, is it better to start late evening to night or get up early and fish night to morning? Where should I be fishing? Will be at Blackburns so where in that area should I concentrate on? Is August a bad time all around on Norfork? Plus the water will still be high since they are only dropping it a couple of inches everyday. How will that factor in?
  10. Wife and I will be in a black/silver Ranger FS 619. Probably launching out of the State Park marina.
  11. Will be there Sat/Sun. Hope to see you there. Good Luck!

  16. Drum are a lot of fun to catch especially as the get bigger.
  17. Great info! Gonna be there this weekend. Will be concentrating on walleyes but never hurts to have a lead on crappie if I have the time.
  18. What a great Father's Day for you and your family. Something you'll remember a long time. Plus you live in Jason Bourne's home town.
  19. Nothing wrong with being cheap as long as it's done right.
  20. Nice, I am not "handy" when it comes to building stuff.
  21. You appear to be dialed in. Great going!
  22. WOW!! Very nice catch. Congrats!
  23. Thanks for the report! Isn't this about the best time of year for trolling crappie? Were they in open water or hanging around structure?
  24. Had a man-step on my last 2 boats. Wouldn't be without it. I'm 65 but you don't have to be older to appreciate them. Comes in handy when you're trying to keep your feet dry while launching.
  25. Those pics are priceless!
