I always thought name calling was not a part of this Forum. I am all for having wildlife at Bennett. Last year saw deer every night I was there. No otters though. But iI am just a City Boy, might not recognize an Otter.
Kind of off your subject, Was at Bennett on 23-25 Oct and our cabin was on the Niangua. Saw at least 1 boat a night. 2 one night. gigging. Is the Niangua a good river to Gig?.
In Mid October of 2005, I caught between 10 and 15 fish at outlet 1 in an hour period starting at first light. The previous day, a Friday, my Wife and I fished approximately 7 hours, between morning and evening, and caught only
10 to 12 fish between us. Sometimes, you can hit it right and do really well,
other days not so good. I was using gray or olive scuds(#14) and orange or red San Juans both days.
Thanks for the above info. I would still like to see a picture of one.
Thanks for the link to the rubberleg stonefly.
Troutchaser, whatever your day job is, don't give it up to be a comedian.
I would like to have SPECIFIC instructions plus pictures on how to tie the MOAT used on the Eleven Point? I am an amateur tyer and I need all the help I can get.
Mr. Babler,
I enjoy your fishing reports immensely. I don't get to fish much at Taney so reading your reports gives me a good feeling that someone is fishing and they are catching fish. Please never stop adding your excursions to this forum.
I have read about using Micro Jigs on Taneycomo and using a strike indicator usually stated at about 5 feet up from the jig. Please give a little explanation about what Micro jigs are, i.e. weight, color, pictures, ect.
Mr. Lilley,
I have been holding off on asking this question because it may sound bizaar.
Last year around Memorial Day, my brother-in-law and I were about a quarter mile up from your lake place fishing from a boat. All of a sudden, a huge boil occurred in the middle of the lake about 5 feet across that lasted about 10 seconds. Has anyone else ever seen such a thing on the lake?
