you will like them! The only issue I've had is the line can stick to the index finger a little when using a spinning outfit. Been thinking about maybe dipping the right index finger of the glove in some plasti-dip to keep the little ribs on the glove from catching the line?

Try the under armour infrared gloves https://www.underarmour.com/en-us/ua-core-cgi-mens/pid1249432-006 and then wear the fingerless wool gloves over them. Best thing I've tried.

In my limited experience, the Water Patrol has a lot of "cowboys". I have 2 good friends that are with MSHP, one is a Captain. The men & women of the MSHP were not happy that they were combined, and feel like the image and caliber of the group was dragged down with the addition of the Water Patrol.

The PB&J Ned I have on a rod right now looks like a cat clawed it, it has tears and slits all over it. And yet, it continues to catch fish? Not sure why? I think I remember an article from Ned himself saying that he thinks he gets more bites on the lure when it gets all mangled. Doesn't seem to make sense, but then, when it comes to fish, what does?

No one is arguing. I am acknowledging your idea of using sickle hooks, and saying I'm not going to argue with that concept. (figure of speech) I'm actually thinking gluing AND a sickle hook might be a great solution?

Not going to argue weed guard vs sickle hook. Personal preference, really. I have not had that many problems with Dave's heads hanging up, and the hook-up ratio is outstanding! Love that roof of the mouth hookset. But I will disagree on the glue. If you rely on the hook bend to keep the bait up against the head, then you are more apt to tear the bait, IMO, and it's a little tricky to thread the hook just right to make the hook bend keep the bait up tight. Once you get a small slit, it makes it tough to keep it all the way up against head without re-hooking or adjusting. With the glued head, I never have any issues. I've had the same bait on my Ned rod for the past 3-4 outings, caught dozens of fish with it and haven't done anything to it other than re-tie from line abrasion.

that hook looks pretty stout? the ones from Dave might be lighter, thinner. but hard to tell from pic? BTW, Dave's Ned heads are great! I have one on a rod right now that's caught at least a couple of dozen fish over the past 3 -4 times out. same head, same Ned! (oooh, new slogan?)

Not trying to criticize Ben. But, I was always told never to lay a fish on any dry surface? Dock, Carpet. etc. I always dip my ruler before I measure a fish. Maybe it's an old wives tale? But, does that hurt them by doing this and allowing their 'slime' to get rubbed off?
