  1. Let me know if you need some in the future. My prices are a lot better than any gas station.
  2. Hoping to find some on the james arm tomorrow and Saturday. What's the water temp running now?
  3. How do you figure that spoonbill are not native fish? I do wish MDC would model their spoonbill program more after OK, where they harvest the eggs and use the proceeds to pay for stocking fish.
  4. I am located in Sikeston MO
  5. Probably since they are much quieter and burn a lot less gas.
  6. I have bank sinkers 2,3,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,20,24 ounces for sale. Flat banks in 1/2, 3/4, , 1 1/2, 2, 6,8 Eggs 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 3/4, 1, 1 1/2, 2, 3, River sinkers 2,3,4 No rolls 1, 1.5,2,3,4,5,6,8 Bass casting in 1/8 to 2 oz Sizes over 2 ounce are $2 per lb, 1-2 ounce are $2.50 per lb, under an ounce are $3 per lb. I can ship up to 70 lbs through USPS for about $10. Or if we can do a FtF that will work also.
  7. Trolling jigs or crankbaits? We have always casted for them, but have really only fished a lot further up river.
  8. That figures after i tied up some rigs for fishing up off the bottom.
  9. Were the fish relating to structure or just the specific depth?
  10. At least on tablerock you don't have to stop snagging after you have your limit. So if you snag a fish after you have your limit you have to throw it back.
  11. Wappapello is very shallow with the exception of the river which is marked, however it is still a little tricky your first time to navigate the bouys since the river channel makes some pretty sharp twists and turns. Clearwater has decent fishing but in the summer is over run with pleasure boats by about 9 AM.
  12. I think most trollers use 16-24 ounces of weight. In missouri the limit is 3 hooks per pole.
  13. How you are going to go about fishing makes a huge difference in what gear you need. If you plan to troll then a shorter 6' or so rod seems to be prefrerred. If you plan to cast then a 10+ foot rod is prefered. You will want a reel with a large line capacity since you will get snagged and break off quite often nad if you can not hold much line your reel will be empty quick. I prefer braided line in the 65lb to 100lb range. I use 10/0 treble hooks and will tie on between 1-3 depending on how thick the fish are and how much stuff there is to get hung up on. If you look on youtube I think there is a guy named spoonbill king or something that has some decent videos about tieing hooks. As far as depths it is going to vary a lot depending on the body of water, water temp, etc. I would just try multiple spots until you find something that works and then try to repeat it.
  14. we had the best luck bouncing jigs off the bottom as we floated down. You do get hung up a fair amount but this seemed to work better than casting and cranking back in.
  15. where do people snag from the bank at around galena? Never been to that part of the river but considering making a trip down if I heard any good reports by friday.
  16. 1856 will go shallower but requires more motor to get the same top end speed. Our 1752 will go in 4 inches I really can't think you need to go much shallower than that.
  17. We have a 1752 blazer with the 60/40 mercury jet on it and we really like it. We got ours from trout and sons in St. james and have been really happy with them. We have not had any problems with the boat or motor but as far as routine maintinence they have been really good.
  18. right now you are gonna need a cast net because the shad are few and far between with them running so little water.
  19. well fishing and bowfishing was terrible. They only had 1 turbine running and teh water has dropped about 15 feet in 2 weeks. Not much catching going on at all cept for little crappie and white bass.
  20. they are not generating much. you can check it online at http://waterdata.usgs.gov/mo/nwis/current?..._no_station_nm= I am really wanting to go up tomorrow and maybe do some bowfishing and catfishing but have not had much luck finding someone to go with me.
  21. Anyone been fishing below the dam? Hoping to go next weekend. Gonna catfish if they are running water and if not will try to thin out some asian carp with the bow.
