thanks again Bill and redbud, i have a great trolling motor i have a 82# motorguide and two brand new batteries, and redbud may not be a bad idea to get a couple more cause i can stay out there all day regardless if the fish are biting, just love to go every chance. thank again guys. i think friday i might go to baxter and go back into creek arm and give it a shot

Bill, or anyone for that matter, i was wondering a good place to launch boat to fish. the problem is i am religated to trolling motor for time being until i get enough money to fix big motor. I am looking for a good place to put in. i have put in at moonshine a few times with mixed results. looking for maybe something up the lake. i appreciate all who post fishin reports and i try to post when i go. thenks again and anybody's help would be appreciated. JUST LOVE TO FISH!!!!!!! regardless of conditions.

HAS ANYBODY BEEN FISHING AT NIGHT? I HAVEN'T BEEN IN ABOUT A MONTH DUE TO MOTOR FAILURE. IT IS GOING TO BY AWHILE FOR ME TO GET IT FIXED, BUT TROLLING MOTOR STILL WORKS AND JUST WANT TO FISH. SO I AM DELEGATED TO FISHING AROUND WHERE EVER I PUT IN. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

we had a shower about midnight. most of the hard stuff went north.

Went out last night and fished around darn area. caught 4 on salt craw and 3 on jig. no keeps and water not cooling down like a thouht it would. getting close to some good spinnerbait fishing i hope. fish were in 10 to 15 ft

I AM HOPING THAT ALL THIS RAIN HAS COOLED DOWN THE LAKE ENOUGHT THAT THE FISH ARE UP A BIT SHALLOWER. PERFERABLY ON ENOUGHT THAT THE SPINNERBAIT BITE IS PRESENT. MY FAVORITE WAY TO CATCH THEM LOCK JAWS. WILL BE DOWN THERE TONIGHT IF ALL GOES WELL. WILL GIVE REPORT AFTER I GET BACK.

Went out last night fished around dam with the wife, the wind was brutal. Fishing wasn't much better. one keeper and one short. Tried everything from bluffs to long points 45 degree to transition banks. Boat traffic was ridiculous, which did't make it any easier. next week I am heading either to james river arm or around campbell/baxter area. time to learn some new water

WAS THINKING OF HITTING IT TONIGHT JASON, WERE THE FISH STILL OUT DEEP OR HAVE THEY MOVED UP ANY? I AM READY FOR THEM TO GET ON A NIGHT SPINNERBAIT. MY FAVORITE.

THOSE A-10'S RUN TWO ROLLS ROYCE TURBINE ENGINES. THEY LIKE THEM DUE TO THE EASY MAINTANCE AND THEY HANDLE THE DESERT AREAS REALLY WELL. AT ONE TIME THEY WERE GOING TO NOT USE THEM THEN THEY FOUND OUT HOW WELL THEY WORKED IN IRAQ IN 92. REGARDLESS WHERE THEY ARE STATIONED THEY ARE SURE FUN TO WATCH. I HAVE HAD THEM FLY OVER SO LOW THAT YOU CAN SEE THE PILOT AND HE WOULD USUALLY WAVE WHILE I WAS AT FT. WOOD WORKIN.

THOSE A-10'S ARE PROBABLY OUT OF FT WOOD. I HAVE WORKED IN THE PAST THERE BUILDING FENCE FOR VARIOUS RANGES AND THEY FLY EVERY DAY UP THERE. IT UNREAL WHEN THEY ARE ON THE SHOOTING RANGE AND LET THAT 30 CAL. NOSE GUN GO OFF. 100 ROUNDS PER SECOND. AND THEY ARE REALLY FUN TO WATCH. THEY ARE REALLY AGILE. THEY ARE ALLOWED TO FLY THAT LOW FOR TRAINING ALL OVER THE STATE AS LONG AS IT IS NOT AROUND A METRO AREA. I HVE SEEN THEM ON BULL SHOALS AND EVEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO THE B-2 STEALTH. NOW THAT IS A BAD @## PLANE.

Hey T-RockJaws i have bever been to that part of the lake, haven't been past campbell point, but is it easy to get around at night up there with dock and shore lights to navigate or is a spot light needed. i need to get up there sometime. to many big boats on this end

Went out last night at 7:30 went to first spot and caught 2 shorts with big worm. Fished 5 more spots and nothing. 12am by then and getting discouraged. went to 7th spot, and caught 1 short on jig. fished 3 more spots was 3 am and called it quits. Pretty slow night but it was bearable as the front came thru and temps went down.

what is a good size needle for that. 18 or 20 guage. and how far do you insert the needle for the mouth method. i read that you might hit heart. don,t need to do that.

Had a old timer tell me that when you have that happen that it could have been a big fish( or bigger than your average keeper) that you felt spit the bait out. not sure about that but makes some sense. i think it could even be a fish coming up and just hitting the bait with a closed mouth trying to kill or wound the bait and when the bait doesn't act like they think it should they leave it alone

Went out this morning at 3 and fished til 10 should have went home at 7. Caught 5 withone keeper LM. all on manns 12" jelly worm in 35' water. wll ahve to wait til next week to try something different. i may try and go at sunset and fish til daylight or something. the heat is pretty unbearable. my hats off to the guides who fish out in it every day. they really earn every dollar. oh the fish i caught came off of transition banks with hardwoods and brush.

I guess I will have to go and get some big ol worms. Bill thanks for the info. I haven't been on this pond that long so i really pay attention what you guys say on here and try to put it all to good use. I will always give fair bit of info when i do go and report. i just feel that we all are on this forum to better ourselves and help out the next guy. just isn't fun when you fish and don't connect with the fishies. i appreciate all your guys info. and will continue to give as much as i can when i get out there and give them a go.

Talked to buddy of mine that fishes on norfork lake and said the bite has been off the hook at night until this weeknd and it went to nothing he fished a fri.night derby with about 30 boats and it 6lbs. to win. he didn't even get a bite that he is aware of. i just haven't been able to figure out why i can't put a steady summer pattern together. ready B. Babler and erics reports and sounds like the fish have just packed up and moved to some other lake. i have considered going out at midnight and fishing til morning and seeing what will happen. i don't see that productive. just tuff right now ready for some cooler weather and fall patterns to take over.

Went back out sat. and sun night fished the same areas and what a difference. the bite was gone. fished sat night til 2 am and managed 1 keeper sm with 3 shorts. i am not sure but i think the boat traffic has something to do with those fish coming up to feed. just a theory. sunday i should have stayed home. 2 shorts and that was it. fished everything but kitchen sink. oh how the rock will humble a person.
