  1. Like I said before, I got a nice follow last year or whenever it was from a HUGE bucktail fly that I tied specifically for muskie. I guess water temps are about right that I need to go out and try again. I also saw on MDC's facebook page how they rear the muskie, and they feed them rosey reds, which are those little pinkish/yellow minnow things you buy at the pet stores. So I tied this.. in hopes that maybe the smaller fish would see it and nom it on down. no luck with muskie but the one time I got out to fish it a largemouth crushed it with a vengeance!
  2. Asian carp are filter feeders, so the chance of you hooking one on a fly is slim, unless you start snagging them in the face. That being said, there are lots of carp around. Anywhere that flows into the Meremec, Missouri or Mississippi has them in there. I tend to keep the small creeks I know of with them in it under wraps just so the bowfishers stay out and dont toss them all on the banks.
  3. Tie everything in Brian Wise's tying videos.
  4. I sure do. Its gathering more dust each day.
  5. Still a great fish!! Im taking the day off thursday to get some fishing in. the current is fishing so well im half tempted to go there instead of a blue ribbon
  6. Nice fish! I'd like to get down there one of these days.
  7. True story!! I have caught trout in the current on some WEIRD patterns and colors.
  8. I didnt realize until recently that browns were in the lower part of the creek. That would change my mind on visiting the creek.
  9. Wouldnt bother with it. Its a stocked stream and they broadcast when they stock it on the radio, gets cleaned out pretty fast after wards. not very many will hold over.
  10. I need to step up my sub surface game. need to find some good indicators to start using. Those were some nice looking browns
  11. campground is always open but the restrooms and shower houses will be closed generally. Going to be in the 60s down there now, should be great weekend to fish.
  12. I keep thinking about getting one simply because of what you've stated, its a good way to cover alot of water.
  13. Callin for lots of snow now. bring some warm gear
  14. Hotline is updated to include trout now. Busch lake 21, Walker, Tillis, jefferson and one of lake i cant remember or have heard of were stocked today. Going to chance the rain tomorrow if not definitely wednesday
  15. Hotline is only reporting channel catfish as of now.
  16. They havent stocked any lakes yet
  17. Looks like a midge. Caddis have a very distinct shape to them and usually arent that small.
  18. How soon do you need them? I have...120 of them i think. Might be 100, i cant remember.

    New Pb Brown

That "new hole" has been there for a over a year now. We have caught 1 or 2 small browns out of it, and I was hucking meat once there and had something take a swing and a miss. I need to get out soon and fish.
  20. Tim's fly shop had pictures up on facebook and it looked high but good today. yesterday was brown and blown out
  21. I caught it in early November. There were several brood stock that had been freshly put in there, I saw probably a dozen over 6 pounds, but most were going thru the spawning exercise. It wasnt super beat up, but it wasnt pristine shape either. Every now and then I go back and forth about getting a reproduction made but never have yet
  22. I caught a 10+ pounder out of 21 a couple years ago. Or what it 28, its the smaller of the two lakes and i always get em mixed up
  23. A couple of the lakes at Busch are spring feed, i know 21 and 28 the C&R trout lakes have springs that keep them cool/warm.
  24. You got it.
  25. I was shore fishing when I had a 24-30" fish follow my fly
