I am selling my boots and some neoprene wading socks. They are size 12. There are in great condition, no flaws. I put them on a dryer after every use. They have only been used 15-20 times over the last 3 years. They don't fit my feet anymore, I think my feet are getting bigger. I would recommend that you actually wear a size 11 or 11.5 to wear these. Once you add the stocking from you waders they take up a lot of space. I am asking $90, they are $120 new $15 for the neoprene socks. Trades are an option of equal value.

Looking to sell my kayak. There is nothing wrong with it. I have had several wonderful trips, just looking to upgrade to a better one. It is 10'-6" Loon 100 Angler. It has a 350 lbs weight limit. It has 2 pole holders, anchor mount, paddle holder, bungy on back to hold things down, and an adjustable back support. I am 6'-3" and weigh 240 lbs, and it floats just fine, with internal foot room. Tracks great on lakes, and does well on rivers as well. Asking $375, I live in the Alton, IL area, but I work in STL so no big deal to bring it across the river. If you are interested please contact, price can be negotiable if reasonable.

Thats not a bad price at all, and it does beat lugging all of your camping gear down there. in 10 degree weather. It is very tempting to stay there instead of tent camping. Thanks for the advice.

Looking for some information on camping at Montuak during the winter. I was go to head down there some random weekend and do some winter camping. On thier site they say they shut down the bathhouses, so does that mean you either go in the woods or at the lodge? Also fishing is from 8-4 Friday thru Monday, is this correct? Just wanting to cover my bases before I take a 3 hr drive. Thanks in advance. Take care and good luck fishin!! [url=http://mostateparks.com/campgrounds/montauk-state-park]

I have a pair of LLbean breathable waders for $100 4 years ago and have not had one problem with them. I go to Montauk with them about once a month for the last 3 years. This past year life got too busy to go that often. Walked through the woods and stream and such no complaints at all. Good luck finding a pair.

From what I here for browns big and nasty. No actuall personal experience fishing for them. Good Luck.

Very nice. I wish I could go back to Glacier. It is so BEA-utiful there. I will second the notion on wearing tennis shoes in the snow, it sucks.
-
That is true, they could be there more often than what we think... we just never see them. They are like ninja's! I just don't like when I am walking down the stream and you see people doing things they are not suppose to be doing. I wish i could just walk up to them flash a badge and say you've been cuaght... then jsut walk away to scare them.

I am glad to here that they are out doign there jobs of catching people breaking the law. If they would patrol the water more often, I am guessing that there would be a lot of people caught and fined. With the extra money they could use it on the parks to help improve them. ....at least thats my 2 cents.

Yeah I don't think USA will beat England, but they better make it out of the group round. It awesome if USA won, but I looking futher down the road. I can't wait for soccer to start!!! The worlds sport has the spotlight for the next month.

From your footer I am guessing you shot those photos with a pentax? not a canon or nikon.

I have not gone muskie fishing, but from what I have read metal is the way to go. From looks at your flies the articulaticed hook is connected with with heavy line. The teeth from the muskie might break that. ...but like i said i don't know enough to tell other people what to do.
-
I figured out the remedy... you just need to convince somebody to start raising chickens for thier fethers on the forum. ...and with that said I will be the first to not volunteer for it. You should volun-tell somebody that they are in charge of the chickens.
-
Show off!! No good flies. Better than mine look.
-
Yes I will probably tie mine own. ... but how to you sharpen a hook?
-
I can't for warm weather now after reading this thread. I now need to get some big ole flies!!!

Yes, it is good to see you on here. This is a good place to get info and selling stuff. Take care.

I would check the river levels after all of this rain. Merry Christmas.

I tried looking up places to fish in IL, but the forum was empty. So I figured I would put something on here. I am looking for a place to fish and camp in the STL area in the next couple of weeks. I plan on spending a weekend to get away form life for a while and want to relax and do some fishing. I know most of the fishing is dead because of the cold weather, but there has to be something that is still moving around. I don't really care what kind of fish I go after, but I will probably use the fly rod. If the place is close enough then I won't worry about camping or if it is 5 degrees out. I will drive about 1.5-2 hrs from North STL. I am thinking about Maramac, but there is no place to camp down there and it is a long day drive. I would like to go to Montauk, but that is a long drive, and I don't even know if the campground is open. Thanks guys and have a happy christmakwanzakah!! (Don't want to offend anybody) ... but Merry Christmas.

I was there this past weekend and the water was up about 2 feet and murky. each day the water dropped and got more clear. There was a size 14-16 caddis hatching but with this colder weather it is hard to say if they still are. your best best would be corn or an orange egg and drag the bottom with it.

The weather was great for me.. it was in the 40's everyday and snowed.... but I like the cold weather. Everybody else did not like the cold weather.

I got them in Dream lake up past Bear lake in the park. Its about a mile hike to get to and well worth it.
