  1. My brother and I purchased some flies from www.fliesyoutrust.com. The service and price was excellent. I highly recommend them.
  2. I've been looking for a good catch and release net for a long time. I do a lot of hiking, wading, and bush-whacking. I need some light and sturdy (i.e., won't get torn apart by brush and thorns). I saw this Burlwood Catch and Release net and liked the way it looked and felt. I was wondering if any of your folks have used this net and would care to review it for me? http://www.hendrix-outdoors.com/nets.html Are there any other suggestions on good catch and release nets for the situation I describe above?
  3. Thanks for this report. I've been wanting to try the Gasconade.
  4. Where are "the narrows"? I've never heard of that location on the 11.
  5. I've been planning a trip to the Niangua for awhile. I, too, would like to avoid crowds. What access points do you suggest for a quiet float and good fishing?
  6. Hey guys, we're going to try this again on Sat. Will the river level be good for floating and fishing?

Our plan is to build a raised bed garden plot 11'x6' with retaining wall bricks. Under the bricks we'll be using 2" of river rocks, 2" paving sand, and 2" of leveling sand. We are buy some soil from a local guy called "miracle soil, which is soil especially prepared from vegetable gardens.

Longer time fly fisher. First time gardener. :-) We are building a 11'x6x plot in our front yard this weekend. I just noticed this gardening forum for the first time today. I looking forward to picking your brains as I learn how to garden.
  11. Thanks.
  12. Do you have a direct link to the SICKada? I can't find it.
  13. Cookin' From Scratch has some amazing chicken strips. Best I've EVER had.
  14. The water was too high, so we decided to postpone. We still haven't made it down there yet.
  15. I've found #16 copper BH zebra midges to be super effective on Taney.
  16. Thanks!
  17. We are looking for alternatives to the Niangua this weekend. How is the Bourb fishing this time of year? How will the water level be this weekend and how will it effect floating and fishing?
  18. Will the Current River be fishable/wadeable safely and productively tomorrow, Sat. March 19? If so, are there any places to rent canoes and do a day float trip (below the park in trout water)?
  19. Niangua is showing about 3ft, closer to 4ft on USGS. What will that do to the floating, and, more importantly, the fishing? We had our hearts set on the Niangua ...
  20. If the Niangua turns out to be unfishable/floatable this Sat., can you all recommend another river in the area that might be good fishing this Sat.? We'd like to stay around 3 hours from Columbia if we can help it.
  21. Ha! We'll for sure post a report. How is the water looking for floating and fishing? Should we be good-to-go for Sat?
