  1. Question : I was told that they were charging 10 bucks to launch at Mutton. Is that true? or fake news..
  2. I'm like all the others..Mill creek area and a cross from it is good. Cow creek is good early. Early is the key!! Top water first and then find shaded banks with a jig..I agree with rps but i'd back it up to, before day light and out at 11 and then back at dark! From 1pm and on, will be like trying to roller skate at the Mall on Black Friday !! Good Luck !!!!!
  3. Thanks for the report !!!!!
  4. Hey Bob question? On your web site you show a "Split trip", 4 hours in the morning and 4 in the evening. Say me and my two brothers book this for the 400 bucks and go out in the morning and catch a limit of walleye in the first hour and have 3 hours left and go and catch a limit of crappie too. Do you refund half of the money or do we just catch and release in the evening? If so, what does this mean "a chance for catching more fish "? Plus, they're from Kansas is that okay ? PS nice web site !! Lots of dead fish! How many fish do you kill a year? Me? ..0! But I'm just a weekend guy, like those in your poll....
  5. Thanks for the report Zac ! Any info good or bad, large or small, always help.!
  6. Hey Gilly, Dutch is right..I seen that thing pulling into port in the back of Mutton Sunday. The wheel house is on top,.the 3rd floor! Its BIG UN !!
  7. Hey, Have you got this fixed yet? If not this may help! You're doing it right you just need a little help.. First check the vents and make sure they're clean. Its down on the barb part of your mold. It will be that little line coming off of it. Clean both sides. That vent lets the air escape as the lead comes down the shaft of the hook. That will help,..and this will fix it.. What you need next is "Tin" in your alloy! Go to Lowes or Home depot and get some Solder..the solid stuff. Add it to your alloy. Tin breaks up the surface tension of the lead so it flows and fills out your mold. If your pot is fill of lead it may take the whole roll. Mix it in good. Hope this helps !!
  8. Hey, Went yesterday and yes it was cold. Put in at Old SP and fished the main lake points and cuts just off the main lake. Two shorts on a stick bait and one keeper on a 3/4 oz jig 25 feet and that was it, all LM. Fished from 7am to 5pm. Had a little sun at the end of the day, thought it may fire things up ,..but no go! Water was 44 and mostly clear. Good luck..!
  9. Hey techo I don't know if its talent or just windshield time! This is my end of year time and looking back this year I poured 7000 jigs. My hook orders were 4000 4/0 and 3000 3/0 and I did have some special orders for larger hooks too. I have 8 guides I sell to in Texas, Arkansas, and Alabama that I met on ebay years ago. These were not all skirted jigs a lot were shaky heads. I custom make all my wire keepers for the smallest worm to the largest. BTW this is not my job its something I love to do! I also have a full time job and family. Sorry I'm like mottoman this has got off topic a bit and I'm sorry, this is the last from me (off topic)..
  10. Sorry my bad ! I just went to their site and clicked on the spider heads a pack of three 3/8oz 3/0 hooks were 5.99 and I checked out and shipping was 7.99 that's 13.98 for 3 jigs that's 4.66 ea. I see now you can order more for the same 7.99 and save on shipping ! Sorry
  11. I'm with Whack'em here...I've been pouring my own jigs for years and love it.! The enjoyment you get out of this when you trick the fish into biting something you made is awesome! I understand too, if you don't have room or the time, its not right for everyone. But after the money you spend to get started its a no brainer too. I make my jigs for about .50 ea. Now I do buy in bulk and sell about half of the ones I make just to get my money back, but still you should be able to make them for way less than a buck each. I've not bought a jig off the rack in a long time but I did see the link to the BassX site and they are awesome looking jigs ! But after shipping that's 5 bucks each "ouch" ! I'm not beating these guys up on this, they have a great product I'm sure!! Just remember too, as the saying goes.. a lot of the times these companys are trying to catch fisherman and not fish. If you think this is for you I'd be happy to help!
  12. denjac, thanks for the info ! We put in yesterday at Mutton caught a good smallie on a jig on the main lake point first thing! Move on to point 8 the wind was light but coming in on the point no wart bite but did get 'em to hit the jig and for about an hour too. Had a couple keepers as well. As it slowed we move to the river. Went to Birch and water was very muddy. Fished on around to about point 9 and nothing.. Went back to main lake, back to point hopping.. We caught most of the fish on the eddy side on the point and when the wind died out they were on the points and just inside. We had 7 keepers the two biggest for the day were the smallie she was almost 17" and had one KY that was very fat and 16 1/2" and alot of 13 to 14 inchers. Believe me I had my 13 year old nephew and his dad with me and he measured every fish !! All fish were caught on a 1/4 oz jig and yes we all used the same size and color ! All were released no blood on any of them !! A Great day !!
  13. Hey, didn't post on our last trip,..not much to post. Hope to do better today tho.. Will let you know tonight! Thanks for the report! Good luck today!
  14. Wow 7 fish on a top water..that'll get your blood pumping just as fast as killing a great big Buck anyway !! Well maybe not, but you know what I mean.. Thanks for the report..
