  1. There has been lots of discussion lately about keeping fish alive in derbys and such. I was just wondering about installing themometers in my livewells for helping to keep fish alive and well. My question is how much or how many degrees do you drop the water temp in the well to help the fish at the safest level? How much ice do you add and which chemical do yall use in your wells? Do the weight you add to fins eliminate "fizzing the fish"?
  2. I was wondering how much of a temperature drop is needed in the livewells (ie adding ice) to help the fish. About what temp do we need to keep the well for the best results?? I was thinking of installing a thermometer in the livewells to help with keeping my fish alive. But how cool is to much?? any thoughts
  3. I attended the seminar in KC this weekend and it was really well worth the time and money I spent to get there. Doug went into such detail and showed some really neat things to those in attendance. I learned more in the few hours I spent than I have in two years on my own using the trial and error method. If any of you get a chance to see Doug give a seminar I highly recommend it. It will be well worth your time as he has a lot offer, and was all free. Thanks Humminbird and Thanks Doug. TR
  4. So it appears to me that every time a weather forcaster predicts rain fall we should just on a whim lower Table Rock to say 893' so as to prevent a FLOOD. Then when docks are on the ground and boats cannot find a ramp that is useable then everyone would feel the Corps Did the right thing. I am sorry for the sarcasim but, when Mr Lilley gets on this forum and says they did the best they could considering the situation, and might I remind everyone his property is underwater, I think we should have considered the other options like people who are dealing with complete towns in ruin and underwater. I am Sorry Nitroman is having issues with the job the Corps did. I am also extremly sympathetic to Mr Lilley and other along taneycomo on the fact that I know what it feels like to have to clean water form everything you own, It makes you sick. I do believe that the intentions of the Corps is to keep every business and home along the White River basin safe and dry, but man cannot control the weather, and neither can the Corps, all we can do is deal with what comes. Just the opinion of someone who has had to deal with flood waters before. TR

  24. I have been searching for a bag for some time and found it this weekend by accident at Cabela's. It hold 7 370 boxes and comes with them. It was on sale for $29.99 had pockets zippers and all kinds of storage. I still dont know how well it will hold up yet but for that rpice the 370 boxes are worth the risk. It appears as nice as any I have found and I have looked for sometime to find what I wanted. Lots of tackle room padded strap and places for extra like pliers scents and the stuff you need for a day of fishing out of someone elses boat. It was green and black with red writing on the front. regular rpice was 59 or 69 I cant remember. But was a really nice tackle bag. The price made it even nicer. TR
