  1. Anyone use the Havoc Pit Boss or Pit Boss Jr in creeks? I bought a bag of the Jr size at Cabela's yesterday and am looking forward to trying them out. It's a 3" Beaver style bait for $2.99/10.
  2. That reason alone is why I purge my spare cranks about once a year. I am still a compulsive bait buyer though.
  3. Joe, several of us have been advocating this for years, but because of tradition in Missouri, it will never happen. I'd love it, but some harvest isn't bad for the population and size spectrum. It's bad when Jim Bob and the boys go down and harvest 6 fish each night for weeks.
  4. Pending
  5. I will split this up reasonably if need be.
  6. Don't keep smallmouth. Keep the spots. Ask why and it is likely you will be inundated with information about spotted bass taking over. If you keep one, you are keeping a precious jewel and preventing fellow anglers from enjoying it. If I am off base, it was the mention of a limit that sparked my fear and love for a species I don't get to chase on the regular.
  7. Sold
  8. This isn't the Spring you're asking about Booth. Yours is in the Neosho River basin and subforum. Chief and Buzz float Spring up around LaRussell.
  9. Phil, read it at your own peril.
  10. Your feelings on this nation being founded on Christianity are wholly incorrect. In fact, the founding fathers said as much. If you attend a Catholic school, pray away, but don't expose those who choose not to subscribe to the cherry picking of a document such as Christianity if they choose not to be indoctrinated.
  11. Taking, rather keeping God out of government is the point. Religion has no business making policy for a nation founded upon religious freedom. In the minds of those who make statements like yours, religious freedom is great as long as people believe your way, right?
  12. That wasn't a pike attack, but those darn giggers.
  13. When they are all pistols or pistol grip shotguns with the shell holder on the butt, yes, gun nut fits. Terrierman, exactly.
  14. You are comparing a nation of firearm devotees to fascist dictatorships whose goals were to either take over the world, or take over their own nations. I love this aspect of the Gun Nuts' argument. When you show them the figures related to firearm homicide and they shrug their shoulders, but wish to keep simple plants illegal. I do not own firearms, but if I hunted, would own at least a rifle. Handguns serve no purpose in civilized society.
  15. To the best of my knowledge it does.
  16. Explain then how we have thousands times more recorded gun deaths than the next closest nation? Yes, the line 'shall not be infringed' means you can keep and bear arms, well done. The few who wish to remove guns from the equation, cannot and will not succeed, much like those who want perpetual war in the Middle East likely will not succeed without a warmonger president.
  17. Contrary to popular opinion, nobody wants to prevent gun ownership. Also, to the person who stated they are exercising their 2nd amendment right by carrying or having the option to, reread the amendment please. Concealed or open carry isn't mentioned, neither is the right to access any weapon you please. You can own firearms all you wish, but please do so responsibly.
  18. Paul, whats your dollar figure on the Quantum? PM if need be. Thanks!
  19. Well done! He will now want to go fishing rather than school in a couple years.
  20. I'm with this fella on that one.
  21. I kind of agree. A 20" Smallie is definitely in her last year or so in Missouri.
  22. Mitch, I, like Seth, have them on my desk and keep forgetting to toss them in the boxes before I head out. When you start to sell them, let me know, as I am certainly interested in stocking up on them.
  23. I can't say I am familiar with that one. The recent Abu Cardinal 300 series was a good reel for $35 at the time. I still use my C300Ui on my UL rod. I bought a Shimano Sienna 500 two years ago for my 5'6" L rod that I use on creeks in KC with Beetle Spins and things like that. If you maintain them, most modern reels are okay.
