Here is the link to the Academy rod. I like mine with crankbaits, small spinnerbaits, light jigs and a smooth reel with 8-10# mono or copoly.

There's a few off the top of my head.
Al, you are right in that Ditko did pencil ol' Web Head, but in Thor 126 or Journey Into Mystery 83, Kirby did Thor. Kirby did Daredevil, Sgt Fury and most other Marvel books
Fish higher in the system to avoid more floaters. If you put in at Cyclone and float to Deep Ford on Big Sugar, great smallmouth fishing, not too many floaters, nice water. That is about a 4.5 mile float.
When wade fishing creeks, yes, creeks, the kind where you can cast clear across them with just the tip of your rod, what is in your vest, fanny pack or chest pack assuming there are any of the three black bass in the stream? What tackle do you carry and use as well?
Thanks for the encouragement. I am considering picking up a GL2 722C and Citica to toss around on lakes here and creeks there, along with some more XR8s and LC Pointer 78s. You are fueling my addiction...
I would be looking at creek lures. For lakes up here, being shore bound, I don't throw cranks at all.
What methods do you use to throw these baits? What size McStick?
The 4" is a big bait for Smallmouth creeks, no? I caught fish on an XR08 in silver last weekend on Shoal Creek by casting it and reeling it like an Original Rapala, but they were chasing pretty hard.
This brownie hit the XRap.
I am new to fishing jerkbaits. There are several that I see as intriguing, including the X-Rap 08, Megabass OneTen and LC Pointer 100, but I am wondering which you choose for when and how you fish them in moving water.
I hope you meant to say that there aren't any native trout here. The nearest natives to the Ozarks would be Brook trout (char) in the Driftless Area or Cutthroat, specifically Greenbacks of the eastern slopes in Colorado.
