  1. OTF, you are trolling the same threads bubba. I was making a comment about the spamming of three different threads. Forgive me for wanting people to consolidate things like this in ONE area.
  2. That's not the point. The point there is that a shotgun has a spread, meaning your aim doesn't have to be exact, making it easier. If you had to use a .22LR chambered firearm to duck hunt, it would be very hard to fill a bag limit.
  3. It is a good podcast, but it's posted in three locations which annoyed me. This is like what happened when they talked about a SW chapter of the MSA last winter.
  4. As long as you understand that if you are typing in all caps, that is the equivalent of yelling.
  5. He needs to realize that what he has done is like talking about YOUR thing in conversation repeatedly. It is annoying and makes people disregard everything you say. I realize he is doing a good thing, but the way he has gone about doing it is not kosher. Oh well, if you all want to kneel before him, go right ahead.
  6. I have quoted three of your gems here. All caps is considered yelling on the internet. So, yes, chill, and plan on more flak if you keep treating people this way. Your little petition has little merit in Missouri as 3 hooks is the legal maximum.
  7. OTF, yours is in your signature, which is understandable, but to post the EXACT same post in three different threads on this forum qualifies as spam. Exactly. Jason, you hit the nail on the head.
  8. I never said I had an issue with him posting it, and I don't mind his view on this. Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner, that is called spamming. Well, you could have avoided spamming with the exact same post. I understand that you want everyone to get informed, but most everyone goes to the new content area when they get here anyway to see what is new. They don't need to see the same thing coming up three times in three different threads. That is the definition of spamming. I am sure you and your podcast have the best intentions, but when things are forced in people's faces, they are more apt to turn a blind eye. I have checked it out and it is a very nice piece of information, albeit the same information we have discussed ad nauseum on this forum. One link would have taken care of it plenty well. That is why i said what I said.
  9. I realize your commitment, but spamming the exact same post in three threads is a bit excessive. Not wanting to poke at you, just wanting to let you know.
  10. He can post it all he wants, but to yell at people telling them to read the petition when they are expressing their opposing views is a little excessive.
  11. Greasy B, if it is a click pawl drag Abel, tweak the spring. Tune the resistance on your lightest setting to suit yourself, or send me the reel and I will put it to work
  12. CS, chill, seriously. If you think it is unsporting, don't use it. How about eliminating a shotgun for duck hunting? Require a .22LR round for ducks as it gives the ducks a more sporting chance. How about only deer hunting with a 5" blade or shorter, no firearms? Wow, this is a case of you wanting to impose your moral judgment upon sportsmen who choose to compete. Should a multi-rod spider rig be illegal for crappie? I guess so if we use your logic. Get over yourself, and accept the criticism that comes with proposing something like this.
  13. Public or private. Elder v Delcour reigns supreme. You were in the right.
  14. I am glad they are trying to help. Periodic agent patrol would help a little on the illegal taking of fish during C&R.
  15. Rick, I wish I had half the knowledge you have with regards to catching these big fish in the parks. Keep posting and, if you wouldn't mind, offer a tip on improving presentation in those conditions from time to time to help those among us who are lunker trout challenged.
  16. I see ya wrench. Don't worry about it.
  17. Brian, check with David Dietzel.
  18. Oh well Ronnie, isn't a big deal either way. I am a big boy. I gotcha now. Thanks for the correction.
  19. http://www.joplinglo...osho-s-features One suggestion I would have is making all winter catch and release in Hickory Creek and putting an agent on site to enforce this. Keep the southern cousins out of the darn river and maintain a fishable population of trout for at least 8 months of the year. Granted, there are trout there during the summer, but they are rather scattered throughout the system, from the springs down to Shoal Creek. Another suggestion is to stock trout at a few locations along the creek, for instance, at the lower end of Morse Park, and at the upper end by the helicopter, assuming they only stock in one location.
  20. Randy, you are correct that the best spots need a left handed cast. For those of us who can't cast left handed very well, an across the body presentation with your dominant hand will suffice in most places. Ron, that first caddis you posted is a gorgeous fly and will undoubtedly catch trout, not to mention bluegill and sunfish species in creeks.
  21. I made an observation, that from my research, that didn't look like didymo, or how didymo is normally seen.
  22. Oh well, I am not opposed to being wrong.
  23. Alright, my observation was incorrect, which is not a new thing, but I am big enough to admit it.
  24. Liv, I don't believe that to be didymo. I would call that ordinary moss that you see on the bottom of all of our streams.
  25. That doesn't appear to be didymo. That appears to be your standard garden variety moss.
