  1. Every post you all make about this teaches me more. Thanks and keep them coming! I want to learn the most efficient way to work my reels when I get them all.

    King's River

Flysmallie is right. There is nothing wrong with spotted bass in that river, they are native to it. There will be no invasion and your smallmouth fishing will remain as it has been.
  3. Is that the way those fancy-schmancy braking systems on them Shimanos work? I would have been completely perplexed.
  4. I will adhere to my previous statement that if I am stocking a cooler for a day afloat, it is PBR, if I am stocking the fridge, it is something from Boulevard unless funds are a bit tight...
  5. I'm not getting worked up over beer. I will drink anything as long as it's cold and wet. My preference is typically something along the lines of Tecate or Modelo Especial in a can, but PBR is cheap and delicious. Ronnie, let me know what river, what weekend and we can try to make something happen!
  6. Sounds like a pretty stretch of stream with gorgeous little inhabitants.
  7. Joe, I am 26, wear jeans, no glasses, cut off t shirts and typically a couple days growth on my face. I drink PBR because I like the flavor.
  8. PBR is worth the price...maybe even worth the price of something more expensive.
  9. Easy enough to get around. Take 50 east from 470 to Todd George Rd and head south.
  10. Was that post in English? Nice pictures!
  11. I am unable to be there. I could potentially be out of town for the whole month of July and shouldn't plan anything in case I am. Thanks and I look forward to reading about it!
  12. Well, I finally fished Hickory Creek. I caught three rainbow trout and one creek chub in an hour in Morse Park. I was tossing an F5 Rapala across the deeper runs and the trout, what few there were, were hungry.
  13. I will run it by the general and see what I can come up with.
  14. Tubby? Nah...pleasantly plump...
  15. Did anyone decide on a date and/or stream yet? Who is the party in charge?
  16. Thanks Mitch. I saw that, but the funds aren't readily available at the moment. I am more apt to pick up a lightly used combo off eBay or something first, then get a new, top of the line combo later. That reel looks like a hell of a deal at that price though.
  17. It's not just you. I believe it is board wide now.
  18. Wow, Ronnie is in rare form today. I like it. Now, 4-6 weeks is a good idea. I would suggest the last weekend of July or first of August. That would give folks enough time to open themselves up. have we decided on a river yet? The Gasconade would be okay with me. I have always wanted to fish it.
  19. Any weekend but June 25/26, please. It's my wife's birthday. That will get me castrated. I would prefer the weekend after the 4th, but it's up to you all and I will try to make it if I can.
  20. I haven't fished either one of them, but they both sound like fun! What weekend are we looking at?
  21. Very good point Al. I know 'seeds aren't common, but they are present, much like the warmouth. It is a very cool looking fish regardless of who his parents are.
  22. Ronnie, always the braggart, no? Just kidding, it looks like you had a hell of a time!
  23. Keep us posted on when this is to happen so we can plan some time off or beg for the kitchen pass.
  24. The Little Niangua is a sweet little stream. If there is water in it, you can almost float from Mule Shoe downstream, but from Howard's Ford to Bannister Ford is a gorgeous float with very fishy habitat.
