I love plastics myself but this year have been doing a lot of jerkbait fishing and I been loving it. My best lures have been the Rapala xwraps and these things I found in the clearance bin at BP Catalog Outlet. I have tried making a few earlier this year but haven't got the lips right yet. I would love to hit a tourney here in Mo sounds like something to look into. My brother does Pro's and Joe's in California.

Been a week or so since I have. Caught some nice smallies though near the lily pads and a few small kitties. I been trying to get some nicer sized cats but haven't had the time to really fish them as hard as I would like.

Lol, in Michigan a few years ago I got experience my first Ice Fishing trip. I'm still waiting for my testicles to drop back down from that Winter in Bay City and Saginaw. Fishing was good but darn cold.

Hmmm Winter? I would like to hear more on this subject too. I never tried fishing here in the Winter never really crossed my mind to tell ya the truth. I was usually back in California during that time till around mid March after the big west coast tackle conventions were over.

I am looking for some suggestions for the Fall season. Where should I go? What tackle should I try? What do you think will work best? I haven't fished the Fall season here since 2005. Last Fall I was in California this year I will be here and used to fish the Phelps and gasconade area when I was here. I am also finally for the second time in my life considering Fly Fishing so I would love to hear your suggestions on this style of fishing too. I haven't been Fly fishing since the High sierras in the late 80's. And are there any guides you could suggest that do well with children as well as adults. Thank you in advance I am sure I will get some good help from you all.

@ id10t Good point and well made. I just got mad over it because I try to do my best to set a good example for my child. I try to teach her to do her best and things will work out for the best. I also make sure she know that good intentions can backfire also. This was one of those cases. I know now to watch what I say as it can be taken the wrong way online. But those who personally know me know that I am always easy going and take pride in doing right and wrong. I'm not a teenager in Los Angeles and compton and if not for my Father teaching me right from wrong I would be stuck in the ghetto to this day. @ness Yes, I got angry and let it fester cause it screwed up family plans for the Fourth of July. Didn't know about the Fly fishing rag.... Magazine Yes, I go back and fourth from time to time. I was born and raised on the West Coast and been fishing and camping since I was little. Yes I make lures for fishing. I make my own molds and pour soft plastics and recently I learning how to make hard baits as well. That is just something I made with my graphic design program. It was a logo for a shrit I gave away with the lures in California for longrange anglers out of San Diego. Yes "Live by the worm Die by the worm" you would have had to be fishing in the High Sierras to understand this one. But makes for a good story about trout fishing with artificials. Yes Trails and mudding, I love the outdoors and going in my friends truck to test the 4 wheel drive when rain permits us. No as this is my account and I don't let my staff use it. Yes we do have a site but I do not promote it on here. I mostly go do my best sales from word of mouth. Cause anyone can sell something on the net and say it works out and slip a lure i a fishes and post pics. But experience is the best seller. Thank you that was my entire point as this is my only screen name. They do know me personally from the past and current through my business. My point was this where is is that I am or any other angler here conspiring to commit a crime. Thank you

Forget the lures,lol. the point of this is getting banned over discussing a fishing tactict. Whether it is legal or not to float tube on Springfield Lake. I got banned for putting in my two cents on the subject. It is ridiculous what happened and if I took it to court would cause more of a headache when all I would want is an appoligy and be taken off the banned list. Now if you want to know about lures though message me cause I didn't start the post to talk about the lures, only the subject at hand. I do appreciate you asking though, lol.

Actually yes they can thats what theyre hired for. I know the job as I was a part of that system once long ago. Just call CU about it they will tell you how it is. Hell I seen people get banned from the entire bus system here in Springfield for breaking the rules. Sometimes the ban is for a short time sometimes it is longer. Having a set is not an issue either or I would not have posted on the subject though I was told not too. Trust I wasn't always so nice and having a bigger set then I have now would be all bad, lol.

Lol I get it. But it's not about the lures as much as being singled out and over something posted in a forum over the internet. Point I am trying to make is, where do they get the right to go online and decide that people should be put on a ban list for what they post. Halting my testing on my products and such was just a side effect from this. The anger came from the fact that I could not take my daughter to a place her and I share and had good times together. I don't always have the gas or time to drive to Branson Lake of the Ozarks or Pomme and Stockton. Maybe I should have kept it to myself in the first place but at least some people were entertained at some point by this and some were annoid. Yeah got a lawyer talked to him about the whole deal most he could say is we could do a petty lawsuit for for defimation of character and try to get them for going outside the parameters of their patrol. CU refused to give us anything in writing and said that verbal notification is good enough as it private property. Yet I don't think they have the full story themselves. They said they are going to look into it further I will find out Monday or Tuesday if the Ban still stands. Maybe I'll get lucky and I can save on gas and get back to making this lure for fishing at Fellows and McDaniel.

Actually they can ban a person as it is private property owned by CU. When on their banned list you don't just get a ticket, you get arrested for trespassing. But I understand what you mean and the rules are simple to follow at these lakes and parks. I don't know how many times I had beeen to Fellows this year but one time comes to mind. There was a whole family fishing then it got hot and they ALL STARTED SWIMMING IN THE LAKE. I waited to see what would happen and patrol never came by for hours. My fishing buddy asked are they allowed to do that now days? All I could say that day was I don't think so and showed him the signs by the fishing dock.

Lol, I just realized my name isn't on here I could have blamed it on my staff. Either way I still get to fish and have fun doing it bad part is I got to use more gas to get out of town. Plus I wont be able to sell products to the marina at Fellows till this clears up.

I picked up a friend who works for Whelan who knew nothing about the post till he got to work that morning. It almost cost him his job from what I was told. His boss read the post after another officer brought it to his attention and said that it was a violation, that I was banned for Conspiring to Commit a Crime on City utilities property. So they Banned me from all three lakes. I did work under the same boss about 7 years ago when we all were at Securitas. They have known me for years and apparently have something against me as the ban was under personal intent by the ex boss. My life revolves around fishing I been making custom rods and working on reels since the 80's and making lures since 97. I think they just wanted to through a wrench in my life machine. I just find it ridiculous that they could go online and ban me for posting something online. Even if I mention their business name I know other fisherman around the area who have seen them change from Securitas to Whelan to what ever company they higher to patrol the local waters. But to go online and ban someone. Please tell me the logic in that where fishing is a crime and such.

Nah it was more them making my daughter cry when she found out I couldn't take her to her favorite lake/park at Fellows. Luckily she starts school in a few weeks and isn't thinking too much about it and she like fishing at Masters at Stockton today.

And yes not banned by you thank you. I just would like everyone to know that Big Brother is on a kick, lol. A kick me off the bank and water kick. And yes I still have friends working at the previous and current Security company. But got the info from a past employee who patrolled the Springfield lake area in the day. "That mean old nasty man wont let daddy take me fishing at the lake anymore" quote my 6 yr old daughter refering to my old boss. Is what pissed me off as we were supposed to fish Fellows on the 4th of July. I have been fishing since but in areas close by that have not produced much but a head ache and loss of bait thanks to tiny Bluegill just right for the cats though if any were present in the area.

Yes Banned by City Utilities Contracted Security Company. I didn't know that the internet was part of their patrol area. I love this forum. I can PM the details as it could cost a friend his job but this was freaking ridiculous. So the answer I got from the Boat house and my friend that dig some info hunting and talking to Water Patrol and Park Rangers is that they let people Float Tube on Springfield Lake but if it is windy they enforce the whole no Float tube or inflatable craft thing. So if they are watching this post. We have other info and CU and their watch Dogs need to get on the same page. But its like my friends and several local business friends said to me. You got to go to the other lakes and other Rivers for the really good fishing. Even though I was making specialty lures to fish Fellows and McDaniel and Springfield. I'll just have to find a group of testers to use my products and give me feed back on those bodies of water. I am going to contact CU this next week though and ask how to get off the banned list then show them why I got banned. I just don't see how they figure to say Conspiring to Commit a Crime plus going online to harrass a past employee of the Manager of the Security Company. All in all some personal feelings or something came into play and thats just bad business.

Well finally got a new computer to get back online after furiously breaking my laptop screen on July 3rd. That moring I was informed that I had been banned from Springfield area Lakes for posting on this forum and Conspiring to commit a crime. Heres the link to the posts let me know what yall think.

My old friend from the Security company said back when they patrolled no float tubes but things change so I'm not sure. My fishing buddy has been doing it near JC Access for the last two years and has had no trouble from anyone so it's all good. I just don't think you can do it near the main body of the lake.

Used to work for the security company that patrols the lakes. No Float tubes on Fellows Mcdaniel and Springfield. But they don't use a security company at Springfield lake no more. It's Conservation running the show there. I'd go and ask them on that one. The new company patroling the lakes though is Whelan Security just watch for the little patrol vehicle when fishing you'll see it.

Went out tonight caught only 3 Crappie 1 Shad and a Bluegill. All on Minnows while fishing for cats. No luck on the Cats tonight no Bass either a lot of anglers got skunked today there.

I been there man. Saturday was tough on a lot of the anglers last Saturday hit McDaniel then Fellows and skunked out. Except for some perch. Holla at me the next time you go. I am working on a Webtv Show with some friends and am looking for more local Anglers.

A spot closer to Linden is KK bridge. take U East to KK stay on KK till you get to the Bridge. There is some good deep water and shoals with bass and some cats and perch. There is also a submerged slab bridge that is pretty good when the fish are shallow.
