  1. Yup, Arkie born and breed (and looking for a way back home.) These northerner's are driving me crazy. John
  2. If Chief Can't help you, let me know. I think I can. I'll need the same info. One question though, why does this little gal have to pay for the drive-off out of her check? She didn't have anything to do with it and couldn't stop it if she wanted to. Just curious. I think it's great that your footing the bill, but I still wonder why an employee is responsible for this theft. John
  3. Welcome cmo! I'm a transplant from Little Rock to SE Kansas. I still have family that live in N. Little Rock and Conway. Maybe we can hook up for some fishing at Greer's Ferry the next time I come home for a visit. John
  4. I'm a large guy as well and I'll have my orange OAF hat on also. Hope to see ya there. John
  5. Sounds like a lot of fun. I think the wife and I are headed there tomorrow for a couple of days. I'll have to give the PS a good work out my self. John
  6. Hey, you can count me in if the work schedule allows it. I'm up for some good gill's on a fly rod. Never done it, but I bet it's a blast. Also like to try some smallies some day too. John
  7. Duct tape, hand cuffs, lots of rope and a double barrel 12 gauge! Worked for me! Oh, and lots of Xanax for yourself. John
  8. " Also my anniversy present is pretty cool , And its gonna last me a life time. Mrs Ducky announced to me that we are 5 weeks pregnant Wooo Hooooo" CONGRATS! Can't beat that for an anniversary present! John
  9. There's a nice campground right at the park. That's where we stay when we're there. John
  10. Sounds good to me. I'll be taking my granddaughter back several times this year so hopefully we can meet up. John
  11. Got it on my calendar. See ya there! John
  12. Good looking tank! John
  13. Would love to take the wife to this, but I'm working a 36 hour shift that weekend. Keep us posted on future events and I'm sure I can get her to one. John
  14. Either day should be good. Maybe Wednesday would be the best since it's right in the middle. John
  15. Phil, any thoughts on generation this weekend? I haven't checked the website yet to see what the "plan" is, but curious with the rain and all if you think they will generate Saturday and Sunday. Thanks . . . John
  16. Steve, looking forward to it. I work tomorrow and won't get off until 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. A quick trip home and pack for the weekend should get me down there in the early afternoon. I hope to stay overnight and fish again on Sunday before heading back home. I'll be in my black Nissian Frontier w/ the camo stripe on the bottom. It also has the OAF sticker on the back bumper. John
  17. I've tried the sinking leader a couple of times and didn't really notice that much trouble with it. It'd get the streamer down to where I needed it and keep it there. Plus, you can get different sink rates with the leader making a quick change very easy. I'd been considering getting a sinking line but after reading this post, I think I'll stick with what I have. John
  18. Thanks for all the info. It looks like a trip to Roaring River is the best bet so far. Steve - I hope the dry bite is still on! That sounds like some awesome fishing. You can't beat a good dry fly take! John
  19. Just curious if someone (Tim maybe) can give some insight to what this weekend may hold. I'm planning a "get out of town" weekend and looking at some places to go. Considering Taney, but with the recent rain I'm not sure about generation. Bennett is way up, fast and murky according to Weaver's sight. So, what does Roaring River look like? Thanks in advance. John
  20. Thanks for the report. I'm thinking of heading over this weekend. Not sure if we'll go to Taney, Roaring River, or Bennett Spring, but we know we want to go somewhere. Let us know how the fishing is on Thursday. John
  21. Wow! Either that's a very big fish . . . or . . . you're a very small man! Nice catch! John
  22. May or June would be okay with me. John
  23. Sneaky! I like that!
  24. Welcome to the board - it's a great place to whittle away some time between trips to the river. Hope to see ya on the water some day. John
  25. I found out today that May 19th is Kid's Day at Roaring River so I will have to bow out of this one. The Granddaughter has top priority and we look forward to this all year. This will be her fourth one and I can't miss it. John
