Oh, I totally agree with you on that. I wasn’t referring to floral versus mono. I just meant a bigger diameter versus a smaller diameter. there’s definitely a difference difference between floral and mono. I should’ve been more clear and misread his post
Yea, I pretty much agree with you on this. The diameter of the line has the most to do with abrasion resistance from what I’ve read.
ps. I misread this earlier, I was driving and picking up my little ones. I do think fluoro is more dense and therefore more abrasion resistant but within each type of line the diameter seems to be the biggest factor.
At the end of this I’m going 100% double Pittzen. And chose a fluoro that’s around .014-.016” diameter for my bait casters and about an 8 pound maxima or Trilene XL for my spinning rod.
Extrusion, Extrusion, winding, trying to imagine the manufacturing process…crazy stuff. In awe 🫢 of the process…what’s next? I just need an unbreakable supple line that’s fairly invisible then I’ll be happy
I love those finesse bait caster rods.
there is a company called B And R Outlaw rods that make an excellent light jig finesse Baitcaster rod. And it’s fairly close to STL in Collinsville, IL.
I just have this concept of stealthier line with no stretch and want to perfect the knot. When it’s all said and done a bunch of well respected fisherman use straight braid on their spinning rod and catch a ton of fish. I’m just trying to convince myself that it doesn’t matter to the fish.
