Thanks for the great info! extremely informative only a "foodie" like me could recognize every one
  3. Very few people can use a lob wedge right, better off with a sand wedge. Unless you are Phil Mickleson
  4. Jointed Jitterbugs have been out for ions. Just made it longer
  5. It's ground up garbanzo beans, it was kind of a joke, I'm not going to bring it!? Anyway, good buck tail is so darn hard to find. I open up the packages and feel each one, for the kind of jigs I tie, I look for the straightest, thinnest diameter I can find. There are also 2 good fly shops on Manchester Rd. Feathercraft and TJ Hargrove. They are close to each other near Brentwood and Manchester. But I still go to BPS and Cabelas too.
  6. I'll bring the hummus! ?
  7. The lucky Strike Wart knock off had faulty craftsmanship as well. I've never heard of a replacement offer from them, Anyone else? Also Excalibur had numerous issues
  8. Geez, another crank bait to scan........... BTW, I did notice they sell those Brad's wigglers on the Tackle warehouse website. Just from the picture, the lip looks more like the new warts
  9. Anyone else had an issue with them filling up with water? Alex from this forum brought this to my attention.
  10. My thoughts exactly! I could've tried a dozen times and wouldn't have been able to explain it this well? I'm mute, I'm mute!
  11. Oh yeah, Blech
  12. If life had no rules.... I'd have Audrey Hepburn to introduce to people And a young Pamela Anderson (Batwatch timeframe) as a party girl

    You live near Eureka?
  15. what I meant was I was agreeing with you. I've just heard too many anglers this spring say that they (the fish) were in places they shouldn't be.
  16. Now that's a hog! Yep, I get sick of hearing they ain't where they're supposed to be!

  19. Question for you Ron, since you guided at Dale Hollow. Why do you think the smallmouth are smaller now than they were 30 years ago? I know Billy Westmorland used to put 8 and 9 pounders in the live well.

  21. [quote name="rFisherk" post="404797" timestamp="143559254 It is true that big smallmouth don't jump much, but I think that is because they are mostly denizens of the deep and seek the sanctity of familiar water. . Almost every big smallmouth I've caught in the river comes to the top pretty quick, I think every fish is different.

Yep, I agree. Just found this: http://www.seriouseats.com/2011/03/the-food-lab-more-tips-for-perfect-steaks.html
  24. Agree with 15-16 inch Smallmouth but I'm NEVER in it for the fight. I want them in the boat as soon as possible, I water ski them across the water often. If they are big, I take a picture or two then release them lively.

Ness, your rib eyes got me thinking about my latest grilling experiments. Like, how long before you put them on the grill do you apply the salt? There are two differing opinions on this and after experimentations over the last year I'm convinced that salting with coarse kosher rock salt about an hour before grilling is the best. Others claim you need to apply the salt right before grilling.
