    Travis, they are baits with great action but the initial lures had quality issues and would break and leak very easily. They were supposed to have fixed the issues but I haven't seen any of the new ones yet......maybe the new ones are out now, I don't really know. It's possible the ones you are seeing are the old stock. As far as the season: spring is best but I have used them in the summer in the river during very murky water conditions and have really whacked em.To me the perfect water temp for them is around 48-52 degrees.

    Had a guy pull the same crap on me, he ended up 30-40 feet or so off the point. He was surprised when I trolled between him and the bank.

    Bill, I really don't know much about the history of the warts. I would assume the "whitest" plastic with the recessed cup at the line tie is the oldest. This is the "Kraken" one I referred to in the test. The others (which were the first comparisons) were, I'm guessing, the later model Warts before they became Rapalas
