  1. No Doubt! Only when you're trying to promote your guide business on FB, LOL
  2. Well, they sucessfully duped the entire country! unbelievable realism...they have a big career in front of them actually. Think of the video surveillance evidence that we can no longer believe. WOW
  3. Yea but we can't buy that stuff in St. Charles County
  4. You guys are having way too much fun, wishI could've gone that day! for the record, I don't really care if someone posts a 12" smallmouth pic
  5. There's an element of truth in most statements, no matter how small. But... Not sure who it kicks in the gut?! I agree with Gavin, who wants to see the picture of another 12" fish?...Tell a good trip report or story describing how many fish you caught along with the scenery pics and add one or two pictures of the nicer fish pics. Who wants to read a story that ends "So in total we ended up with 15 fish, including a nice fat 18" smallmouth, BTW, I'm including the picture of a 9" smallie that went for my rooster tail"
  6. http://youtu.be/CE0Q904gtMI Couldn't believe it until I saw the video. "Oh Shite" appears to be the official international distress call
  7. Keep posting Joe, the third time's a charm......you're in the "Zone" man
  8. But he can't react as quick
  9. I guess you're right Al, it's maybe a little of both. An argument could be made that KVD is the best bass fisherman of all time, maybe he's got it figured out! BTW, has he been tested for performance enhancing drugs yet?
  10. More thoughts on the "Zone".....Is the zone just the sum of all the patterns you've learned over the years? Is the zone the combination of those patterns combined with the right time, the right place, the right size and the right action?Does the zone have a time limit? Is it tied into the lunar tables?Maybe the zone happens to some people without realizing it ever happened, maybe that's the big mistake. Is the zone "positive energy" transmitted thru the line like Rick Clunn says..regardless of the pattern?Does it even exist?darn, this gets complicated.(Sorry, I'm at home sick, too sick to pour lead or tie hair jigs)
  11. Yep, Only fished it three 3 times and love it
  12. Always pay close attention to a highly motivated fisherman who makes his own lures from scratch!
  13. Great report, I've always been amazed with the way that lure works....the simplicity, the size, the color and lack of weight...basically a stick of light wood. But I've watched him whack em countless times when you swore topwater was done a month ago.... I trade him out jigs for them. I'm so happy you guys had a memorable trip! Cool river with a diverse catch. Fun fun fun
  14. Congrats!!!... get the epidural!
  15. Nice fish, plump and healthy
  16. I know about 10 or so years ago on of the biggest muskies ever recorded was found dead with a duck stuck in his throat.
  17. Or it took him 15 years to build it
  18. Well, I also like the fact that they're quiet. Pretty soon all motors will be 4 strokes anyway and the diagnosis and repair will all be done with high tech electronics right? I dunno, call it a gut feeling but I believe they will last longer. Better fuel economy and better for the environment too. But I understand your frustration with the ease and simplicity of a 2 stroke vs the complexity of the new stuff. Just a new $20k class to take I guess And remember all but the motocross racing folks use 4 strokes now.
  19. Thanks Wrench for your great list and all the time and effort put into it. However, my heart lies broken on the floor and you stepped on the pieces with your high heels grinding them into even littler pieces with your comment on the 4 strokes.
  20. All right Wrench, time for your official "put you on the spot" question. Under 100HP (OB) motors, list the top 5 in order of performance, robustness, overall best, money is no option
  21. I'm ready for things to get back to normal on all fronts...I need to go fishing
  22. So for good health we need to go out, I owe you a trip for paddling my but down the river
  23. That's a nice fish! What a great day!!
  24. I think neon tetras require a 3/4 oz brass carolina rig weight with a 6/0 Gamakatsu EWG super line hook. That way they are free to roam!
