  1. I am watching the NIU/Toledo game. Jordan lynch is a nice playmaker. He is pretty much the whole team. No way they are 16th though.
  2. Wow 4 years. That is nuts. not robinson cano nuts, but close.
  3. Yeah, Boise State usually had one tough game a year and then a bunch of mediocre teams. It is easy to get up for one big game a year and go all out. It is much tougher to do that 4-5 times in the major conferences...much more physically and mentally draining. I never thought about the need not to use all your plays, but big advantage if you don't have too. Good point.
  4. I also read today he would consider going back to the Royals. That would be interesting. They weren't that far away from a wild card spot last year so it might be worth a shot for KC to kick the tires. Not sure of their DH situation though.
  5. I have not heard of Hazel's campground, but sounds interesting to me. Hwy 47 was nice for me...especially during the week since I could run down for a few hours after work during the summer time. It tended to be a zoo on the weekends though. The whole area takes a beating from poachers which is unfortunate since it is super convenient for me. Maybe this is the year I finally cave and get yak or canoe and check out the Big. Joe you are right not much I can do or will do. Just really curious if it was just some yahoo who put up signs. I thought roads/bridge were public easements...and the parking at 47 was the safest/easiest IMO.
  6. I agree OTF the auto bid seems kind of silly. UCF is a fine team, but they are not Top 10. I don't really care about a BCS bowl that much. I just want a good matchup. I think MU/Clemson would be a great matchup. Baylor/Oregon would be awesome, but doubt that would work. And I am nervous about the game this weekend too, but I was nervous against Kentucky. I am always nervous every game. I pace, I rant, I talk to myself. I put my 5 month old son in his Mizzou gear. I do what I do. Pinkel would be proud, but my wife is highly annoyed.
  7. Fish eat jig's and egg's everywhere hatchery or not. Use what is working on a given day. It doesn't matter. That being said getting catching them on dries is my favorite followed by them smashing a big streamer. I'd say the best days to fish the Urban lakes are when the wind is blowing a bit...its seems to give the fish a bit more jump. Caught a 8-10lber last year at Forest Park 2 feet off the dock on a John Deere. I wasn't even paying attention. I am just that good. kidding. I added 3 flies to my fly box as well.
  8. Thanks Joe. Mind if I borrow your car?
  9. I don't really want MU to play in the Sugar (and it probably is not going to work anyway) as the opponent would likely be UCF....that does not excite me at all. MU/Baylor would be a good game, but I think both programs would be better served playing a traditional powerhouse and showing well than playing each other, and I don't really dislike Baylor...so it is not as fun:) I would rather fall below and play a more "traditional power." I think Baylor would probably be better served that way as well. Just my 2 cents. I still think MU takes care of Ole Miss this weekend...we are the better team IMO, but an away game at night is always difficult. Should be fun.
  10. How can they stop you from parking in that area? Doesn't makes sense to me...
  11. Yeah and the recruiting is starting to pick up steam as well. Approaching a top 25 class now...still middle to lower end of SEC, but just picked a 4 star recruit from indiania this week. Gotta make this season count on the recruiting trail as well.
  12. football is pretty bleak at KU right now they are awful...not sure weis is the right guy...but the basketball team looks outstanding. Probably a title contender...
  13. RCJH - man Justin you seemed like good guy. Now I am not so sure? just teasing....
  14. Yeah Clarkson looked great. Rest of team looked like poo. They may struggle to make the tourney if they can't find a big man to help out.
  15. Nice job Mic! I will get to fish again someday. I think taking a 5 month old would be a bit premature.
  16. You all can PM me your secret trout spots too!
  17. I live 20 minutes from the MF in Hillsboro and fished it extensively that last several years. It get's hit hard by poachers around 47 and Kingston. Almost every trip I saw people with stringers of short fish. The little camp up stream from hwy 47 did a massacre last spring (I reported it). This is one of several calls and I approached many (respectfully) others not following the regulations. Hwy F is the sketchiest parking IMO...it is in the middle of nowhere I am almost got jumped two summers ago by some guys in what I could only describe as a mobile meth lab parked near the river. After bushwhacking my way back to my car I called the cops and they were tearing down F as I left...almost as though they new the guys. Never heard if they got them if our not, but the pregnant gal drinking beer was certainly classy. it is probably a fish with a buddy or get dropped off kind of spot. That being said...there are some nice fish in the MF and it is a pretty stream. I think the water around Kingston is probably the best, but HWY 47 is the safest parking and I have had zero problems...you won't be alone though...fish are educated I have to disagree with AL...the walk from the 47 bridge to the water is like 30 seconds...not far...but probably a bit of pain if you are dragging a Kayak or Canoe (which I am assuming is what he meant) down the hill. It is a much longer walk from Kingston access to the river though. I have no problems at the access, but the road to it can be a bit sketchy... The Minreral Fork's downfall is probably the area it is located in...populated enough, but sketchy enough to prevent it from being what It could.
  18. I could see the A&M game coming down to whoever has the ball last. I will have to check and see what that over is. It may very well be an epic shootout. If we beat Ole Miss the crowd at Farout field is going to be insane. I agree that MU's D-Line may be the deciding factor. Old Miss is first and that game is not be overlooked (as you stated). This is why I love college football....so many big games this time of year. Whatever happens It sure has been exciting. I don't know why I think GA beats Auburn this weekend, but I think they can...
  19. I feel like we can win both games, but we are going to need to play very well. Our defense is much better than A&M's, but the Manziel factor is huge. We gotta blitz him like crazy...we will get burned for a couple big plays...but he does turn the ball over trying to make the big play. Not sure about Old Miss. A part of me thinks we lose a close one, but a part of me thinks they are a bit overrated and we win it by 2 scores or more. It is going to be exciting no matter what. Can't ask for anything more than that...I can't wait
  20. I am already ready for the game against Ole Miss. It is going to be a long couple weeks as the anticipation builds.... I will be a Georgia fan next weekend as well.
  21. Oregon loses tonight...good for many teams....epecially FSU and OSU. What is going on with OU...that play calling in the first half was way to predictable.
  22. It gave me headache writing it. ha!
  23. Yeah scenario 2b is what I was referring too. The tiebreaker for a 3 way tie is divisional record first...and MU is in good shape for that. I am assuming that SC wins out, and MU loses 1 against Old Miss or A&M IF GA (2 east losses already), MU (1 east loss and probably 1 west loss A&M), and SC (2 east losses already) all have two conference losses as long as MU's second loss is not against the east (Kentucky) and MU wins 1 of the Ole Miss or A&M game then MU wins the East in a tiebreaker with only 1 divisional loss. We want GA to win at Auburn so they potentially force a 3 way tie if we drop one...in essence that give us a 2 game advantage. GA game against Auburn is during our bye week so if GA somehow wins against Auburn then going into the Old Miss game we could clinch the East with a win. I am assuming GA beat's Kentucky in what would likely be the early game that day. I think MU would play Old Miss that night. IF GA loses then we need to win out or hope SC loses to Florida and win 1 of Old Miss or A&M. Simple right? There will be pop quiz later... I think OTF explained it better.
  24. We should all be Georgia fans.... If Georgia wins out Missouri can still lose and clinch the East in a 3 way tie with South Carolina. The Georgia /Auburn game could decide the East. Georgia is getting healthier...so they have a chance.
  25. Nice report and pics, been to long since I have fished...
