  1. welcome, where are you located?
  2. Part of the reason I like the ozarks rivers is no cell phone coverage. I would not count on cell coverage anywhere in SEMO. I dont know where your planning on floating(have not been on the current yet), but right in Doniphan you have service. Rivers like the current are not prone to flash flooding like the buffalo. It would take massive rainfall to flood that river.
  3. the state "owns" 50 ft from the center line of the road.
  4. You have to be HARDCORE to go right now
  5. They didn't this morning. I was going to fish there this morning but got lazy. Thankfully I didn't waste my time
  6. I was wanting to go fishing today but with releases flatlining I had to stay home. What gives?
  7. What is the context of the video? OMG, he said slaughtered but said he didn't!!! Dear lord tar and feather him. I am assuming you think the left does not lie? If so then you are a fool. I believe all news sources should have no political ties to anyone but unfortunately that just will not happen. I counter your newscorp campaign contribution with your idol Keith Olbermann: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20021940-503544.html
  8. so you cannot or will not post one?
  9. People watch what they want to watch. FWIW, point me to one lie told on Beck's show. Keep in mine he is a commentator and not a journalist, and that I dont watch his show(or any other news shows).
  10. The reason fuel is so much more expensive in europe is because taxes are ridiculous. America is like a heroine addict with oil. To get off heroine we need methadone(nuclear, solar, wind) until we can truly get sober(something to replace oil that isn't as harmful)
  11. ssshhhhaaaaddddd kiiillllllllllll!!!!! I gotta go to norfork tomorrow!
  12. zigjigs are pricey but are really good jigs. If you buy them online they are considerably cheaper than the store. My go to color right now is white in case shad are coming through. Almost any other time I use triple olive. I have caught 20+ fish on the same jig without it coming apart.
  13. Apples do not equal oranges this from wiki:
  14. Spiderman, you realize that country is over a thousand miles away from Iraq?
  15. That is hilarious. Have you checked out where it is on a map??
  16. mainstream....there ya go. We haven't had a actual meltdown. And that oil spill you quoted happened in Mexican waters by a mexican company. Everything has risks. If we can re-use spent nuclear fuel then the pollution risk is much much lower. Even still as evil as carbon dioxide is the spent nuclear fuel pales in comparison as far as pollution is concerned.
  17. actually your wrong. I found the BP stuff through google, Chernobyl is common knowledge. Soviet nuclear reactors have always been unsafe. I think it is you who has the forcefield of denial.
  18. BTW, unemployment was through the roof until WW2.
  19. FDR vastly expanded governments role in the day to day lives of everyone in the country. He forced banks to shut down, and opened 13 new federal agencies. The FTC controlled interstate commerce and found ways to tax it. Government interference in food prices.
  20. not even close. FDR was the closest thing America had to a dictator.
  21. I can not see a time when a communist country is not led by a dictator. The form of government is all about taking freedoms away from the populace under the guise of protecting them.
  22. Chernobyl had no containment structure and pitiful safety precautions. Comparing it to US nuclear plants is absurd, but not surprising coming from you. 40% is owned by British interests, 39% by US interests. The CEO is british. Link me to where the BOP not working was Halliburton's fault?
  23. Nuclear fallout is caused by bombs, not by leaks. Even if a plant melts down(highly unlikely) the odds of a cloud of radioactive air is minimal at best. BP is owned by a British company. The people operating the platform told the BP company man what was wrong and they refused to fix the problem. Nuclear plant hands down. they bring lots of jobs and money to the area. I went to high school within 15 miles of comanche peak power plant in glen rose, TX. The BEST winter bass fishing I have ever had. You sure about that? I wouldn't bet the farm. There are tons of old communists still in ruling positions in the government(Putin)
  24. China and Russia are both communist countries. Both have a horrible human rights/environmental track record. People on the thread have said repeatedly that if we lead the way others will follow but that is not true.
  25. This brings me back to what I said before: Communists don't give a crap about the people(how ironic). It does not surprise me at all that you would try to compare the horrific tragedy that happened in the Ukraine with US run reactors. Batteries don't last forever and need replaced. The chevy volt under ideal circumstances goes 100 miles on a charge(flat land). There is no doubt in my mind that technology is available to make a car that would do 5 times that figure.
