Interest fading?

I'm game for whatever amount of time. I don't know of any rentals for boats down there though.

There must be ways to keep them in good or at least fair shape or no one could keep a motor together. Let's start talking dates. What is good for Yall?

We don't do exclusive trips around here! I figure we could ferry the yaks to the lake we wanted to fish. The downstairs room sleeps 5-7 people I think

I didn't figure you could Rick but maybe things will change. Ham no boats for rent, the place I go is as much of a secret as CC was ten years ago, or as much as SFS is now! I'm not concerned about the salt, it just requires more maintenance. Your boats aren't really setup for that kind of fishing. Griz was talking about putting the lower unit on his trout boat and taking that. It would be a good boat that would fish three people

It's that time of year, time to be a Snowbird and head south to fish for reds! Billethead, grizwilson, terrier man, let's set a date! I want to go twice this winter. Once in mid February for my memorial trip, but the other could be any time. Right now it's 63 down at freeport,and 33 here

I don't want to see it again. When you see a $300 rod/reel combo go over the side of the boat things get real!! Lol

Sounds like pretty much everything has been covered so I don't have to post much lol! I was the only one lucky enough to be able to fish all four days. Thursday with philosophy and duckdoty, Friday with LRF and ham, Saturday with grizwilson, and sun day also with grizwilson. I learned TONS from everyone, even though they probably don't know it. Jigs were the ticket for most of the trip other than that magical half hour at Cotter where the crank murdered trout(metaphoically). Our hosts miles and michelle Riley were awesome as always, and even though he won't admit it, miles is a good guitar player. We just had to keep feeding him beer! The amount of fish we boated in those four days is just staggering. As a group we had to catch at least a thousand trout. This fishery is amazing.

I'm going to fish Thursday Friday Saturday but only spending the night friday/Saturday. I am going to smoke 10 lb of chicken Friday. Brisket is out the windows since they want $5 a pound

looks like my schedule cleared up! I am game thursday-sunday. Ham, what days are you off? we can re-shim that impeller in about 30 minutes(15 with no beer). You have a leak in your fuel system allowing the pump to suck air.

I'm starting a new job so Friday May be in jeopardy! I'll know in the next day or two. I'll be cooking a pork shoulder... Brisket prices have tripled in the last year.

I bought some jigs so I should be good to go. I cant help myself so ill be fishing a jerkbait some too
