  1. I am certain Miles will let us use a spare spider seat.
  2. them things are built wimpy. I found a good deal on a 15hp honda but its set up for remote steer. Do you know where I can lay hands on a stick steer setup on the cheap?
  3. yes, the riley's place is on the back side of the island. there should be plenty of wading for those wanting to. I like staying dry in my boat.
  4. I need all the gears. I will get the numbers off of it when I get home. that looks sort of like it but its hard to say. Mine doesnt have that cone behind the prop.
  5. I need to repair my lower unit and I am looking at/for used parts but not sure what will fit. Anyone in the know or know where I can find parts?
  6. SIO3 makes 7. I do not care at all to ferry fly fishermen to a spot or let them fish in my boat either.
  7. BTW I dont fly fish....yet so I will be slinging jigs and jerk baits. **edit** I may bring my camper up so my wife and son have a place to stay there. Looks like so far we have Phil, Quillback, Hoglaw +1, myself, and my wife for a total of 6. hopefully we can round up more people. I have a friend or two who might come. Maybe Terrierman will come down??
  8. I will smoke a brisket friday. I can handle the logistics. Maybe instead of the lodge we can rent one of the bigger cabins. I can also bring my 16ft canoe and two kayaks if necessary.
  9. We will be staying at Riley's Station. Can I get a head count so I can call Michelle and let her know. Boats shouldnt be a problem, they rent boats cheaper than anyone on the river.
  10. I can go any time. Thanks for the offer terrierman but I think I found a replacement. I am looking forward to meeting new people.
  11. Ham, if you need extra weight in the boat let me know lol
  12. surely we can get a decent group rounded up.
  13. no darwin award....close though
  14. I talked to michelle just now and she said she could get us a good deal on renting the lodge, it has 8 separate beds. I may bring my camper so my wife and son can stay there with us. we just need to know how many people and what weekend.
  15. ill talk to Miles this week and see what we an get a deal worked up
  16. hoglaw, I could get us a great deal on a cabin at Riley's I imagine. We could have a riverboat conclave LOL. What do yall think? a weekend of fishing, eating, and the occasional cold beverage?
  17. If I can get my 9.9 fixed or replaced by then I would love to take some people out in my boat
  18. hoglaw, give me a call/text any time you want to go....I am a zigjig slinger too, and if needed I have a spare seat, lol. Right now my 9.9 is busted.
  19. with batteries its like anything else, its all in how much your willing to spend. If your wanting to save weight get a odyssey pc925 to start your f40 and accessories. They are pretty pricey but will last twice as long as a conventional battery. I wont own a 12v trolling motor. my js riverboat runs a 65lb thrust minn kota. I run wheel chair batteries which look just like lawnmower batteries. The difference is they are AGM batteries and have incredible reserves. my two agm batteries weigh way less than a group 31 deep cycle and last longer
  20. this river is landlocked, access is VERY limited. thats what saves it.
  21. interested in the buzzbaits
  22. troutnut, you should come fish the southfork. fishing pressure of zero.
  23. better pay close attention to the weather, november can sure get soggy. great pictures.
  24. I grew up in college stations shadow, for most of my life kyle field was the biggest building for 100 mile radius.
  25. what does it weigh
