  1. I could get behind a small fee IF the money could be guaranteed to go to the rivers. Of course that will never happen.
  2. I volunteer to see you TRY. I can't help myself...if you have seen one pair, you pretty much want to see every other pair on the planet. FWIW, in the 4 years I have been floating on saturdays and sundays on the NFoW, I have NEVER seen any kind of water patrol, except for one time last year when the lake was flooded and a boat came flying up the river.
  3. I quit reading halfway through the second page. I think instead of a tax on every canoe/kayak/raft/tube(which I havent seen mentioned yet), we should organize volunteer stream teams to clean up. That being said, in the summer I float NFoW(and use justin to shuttle/rent) and while I have seen some trash on the bank/water, it doesn't seem as bad as everyone says it should be. I will definetly never get behind a limit on boats on any waterway. Your giving government too much leverage.
  4. yesterday on the lake the grill in the boat was 150 degrees with no fire. You can cook with that.
  5. I would try in the water first.
  6. I like catching sculpins, but I havent ever had luck fishing with them.
  7. this is a great section of river. be sure to keep a suspending jerkbait tied on, especially at morgan spring float camp.
  8. hopefully they dont stock around my house.
  9. I would highly suggest camping at sunburst. while most of the locals are fine, you get a few people who are good at ruining it for everyone.
  10. give me a holler. I know quite a few places to get on the river that arent marked by a map. it happens.
  11. I am quite disappointed that no one asked for info on the south fork or CC. I can tell from the pics where you put in on the south fork, and cc. I would loved to have gone, and my house would have been central to basically all the rivers you floated. Maybe next time! Glad yall had a great float, and caught bunches of fish.
  12. were yall wanting to keep the float a secret??
  13. dollars per square foot the fishing section is 10x more than the clothing. clothing takes up ridiculous space compared to tackle.
  14. any decent hardwood would be tough enough to hold that motor. I used a limb about 8" diameter to winch my polaris rzr(side by side) up in the air.
  15. what will you charge to park a rig there?
  16. use a comealong and a tree limb.
  17. you need to add a kegerator to the cabin.
  18. how high up you wanting to float? I wouldnt go any further up than kelly's ford.
  19. that would work if the SWPA cared. my position is they do not.
  20. that is bittersweet Justin. On one hand, it pisses me off seeing the signs saying stay off the gravel bar on NFoW, but on the other hand it pisses me off seeing people leaving trash everywhere.
  21. I have never been there but now I really want to go...
  22. fish can't hear but they can feel sound in the water.
  23. I like to camp just below the mouth of middle creek. EXCELLENT swimming hole.
  24. on norfork that is definetly the case. It gets hairy quick.
  25. I feel sorry for them, that is unless they get paid commission.
