  4. Nothing wrong there at all. Cant wait
  5. This page has some good info: https://stetsons-resort.com/fishing/page/32/water-level-information
  6. I am gonna do some hunting for an old map that showed how long it took water from the dam to get to wherever on the river.
  7. I will search around the freezer, I am certain I have some redfish or speckled trout I can bring for yall to fry
  8. They have a oklahoma joe smoker at the cabin, so you dont have to bring your kettle unless you just want to. Friday I should be back in town around 1-ish and I will just hang around the cabin. The wings only take a couple hours.
  9. Looks like they are running quite a bit of water at peak times(evening, early morning). Figure on it being 8 hours to get to buffalo city I believe. Riley's used to rent boats for under 100 for a day with fuel.
  10. those are great boats. You may want to rent a boat, they rent boats CHEAP
  11. oh cool! this a flat bottom? post a pic
  12. I am going to look into that, I had it last year.
  13. Sure. I am getting off at 10:45 and heading to ranchette. I am going to run up to crooked creek. I wouldnt worry about that prop, the big issue with your 9.9(merc right?) is the lower unit. The 4 stroke 9.9 lower units are like glass.
  14. Buffalo city will always have enough water to launch/fish, you just will have to stop at the shoals. I am going to go to ranchette thursday around 11 and fish, and I will let you know because I think you could fish a good stretch there. Your motor have tilt/trim? Or can you just put it on shallow draft?
  15. I am too, the only good thing about the boulders is the river is narrower where they are usually and the water is moving faster. There's two types of people in this world: The type that gets adrenaline pumping when running sketchy stuff, and the kind that dont. Pretty sure everyone knows which one I am😉 Plus, I have a welder at the house and can fix the boat if I tear it up🤣
  16. yah. We can cook it there at the cabin im sure.
  17. For sure!
  18. This weekend I am gonna see how far we can go. Hopefully @Daryk Campbell Sr has his waders on🤣 My only concern is hitting huge boulders.
  19. Time is our most valuable commodity, and I am glad I have figured this out at 40 years old instead of 60. My wife and I are pretty frugal, which allows us to take lots of small vacations and trips. Neither of us make a ton of money but in our area of the world(rural arkansas) I would say we are middle class or upper middle class, and I am very happy with it. My biggest issue is time off. Currently I work the 5 day grind, and I am hoping to start the next year with more vacation time or start working a job that is 4 days a week. Unlimited money? I would like to see adoptions become affordable or free for anyone willing to try. For me? I would need a half dozen houses in places along the coast, and a bay boat at each of them, and a 34ft freeman docked in biloxi(closest saltwater to my house)
  20. I will not be there thursday night, the wife and I are going to a concert in little rock. I should be back friday around 1pm(ish)
  21. 1648. Runs pretty shallow, really does good in the san/mud flats down in texas. So far I have been pretty comfortable as long as the hull isn't touching rocks.
  22. yes. white rice. maybe get 3lb. mahatma or riceland.
  23. I am going to stay in the river villa....gotta stay close to the food!🤣
  24. Yah. 40hp yamaha 2-smoke. 3" tunnel and pods on back. It runs pretty shallow
  25. Im working half a day thursday, but leaving work at 10:45 to go to ranchette. I am gonna scout it out and see if I can get up to CC easily
