    well we ended up with 25lb of redfish, so plenty of fish grills in my future.

    we just got done eating some grilled fish. I use bass tackle and less. the most fun was using a johnny morris spinning reel on a 6.5ft denali finesse rod.

    I ended teh day with 8 keepers, biggest was 27". about to head back out again.

    we checked in last night to the rivers end motel in brazoria, tx. I went out at 6:30 and caught a couple nice redfish in a couple hours. first one is around 25 inches.

    Maybe because I live in a rural area things are different here, but the economy has barely any effect on me. If anything it is a positive one because I can buy good tools cheap at pawn shops, lol. I do not spend much fishing when I go, even in the jet boat. The furthest I drive for a day of fishing is to the narrows, which is about 50 miles from the house. I will spend about $20 on fuel for the car, $10 in the boat, and $5 on breakfast. I couldnt afford to run a big bass boat every weekend.

    The logistics of unloading 1,000,000 gallons+ of liquid fertilizer is bad enough, having to build a new place would cost retarded amounts of money. I have a friend working on the river and he thinks he will be sitting idle for two weeks

    the most important thing for me when it is cold is my bps 100 suit. I usually wear a UA base layer then normal clothes. I don't fish when the temp drops below 25. For shoes I wear some gore-tex boots and wool socks. I have the bps 100mph gloves.

    My jet motor will sit for 3-4 months between uses during warm months and no issues here. if I had multiple carbs I wouldnt do that.

    UHMW is the complete opposite of rhino lining because the UHMW makes the bottom of the boat slick and rhino lining does the opposite.. the UHMW is far superior in every way to rhino lining. nice boat, should be an easy sell.

    I disagree. halfway between riverton and the narrows my wife caught a 15" rainbow in august last year. With colder weather the colder water extends down into arkansas.

    its pure judgement call. If the gas smells bad dump it. I will admit that running the 11pt monday was questionable at best.

    I honestly wouldnt be concerned. fill the tank up with new gas and run it all out.

    I love the mustad triple grip hooks, they are what I use when I replace hooks on a crank/jerkbait.

    your not kidding about the river being low! I thought the fishing was pretty fair considering conditions monday. when you can see the fish swimming in 12ft of water the water is too clear.

    my kick-up apparently isnt working. I like to live on the edge, this time I went too close to the edge. The river is the same as it was last year, just with far less water. in 2.5hr I caught 5 fish: 1 baby largemouth, a 17" smallie, 15" smallie, and a couple smaller smallies. I wouldnt take a boat I cared much about up the river. Maybe its time to start on my jet tunnel project.
