    How was the float from hammond down, was there massive amounts of dragging? We are going monday and I am renting the coosa(again). I LOVE that kayak, and I am saving my pennies up to buy one. any particular colors other than the usual triple olive that works so good?

    with a 8ft water table your water probably doesnt come out of the ground at a refreshing 56 degrees I bet. I feel for all you people on city water.

    soft plastics will get you numbers of fish in the triple digits. Fish from snow down.

    I have caught some hogs out of CC and some lean fish. I think the fish HAVE to be lean because the creek gets so low. CC holds a special place for me, even though I have not fished it this year. The southfork I believe has as good of fishing as CC but with .01% of the pressure.

    the creek holds many large largemouths in the pools, but no smallmouths of any real size. Two years ago I did some exploring below yellville and basically just did ALOT of walking. I caught many fish but it was not worth the effort. You would walk half a mile between holes sometimes.

    I do crazy things like drink water straight from the waterhose too.

    my well is fairly shallow, 173ft but it is filtered through gravel all the way. I dont drink from the big springs, there is one between rainbow and blair that comes out of a bluff on the left side of the river. Every time I stop by there I get a drink. It is always refreshing. On the 11pt about 300yd below morgan spring float camp there is a small spring on the left side of the river that is hidden behind a tree right next to the river. Great water. Every time you swim in a lake/pond/river you drink water.

    maybe I am crazy, but I routinely drink from springs on the 11pt and NFoW.
